I went to sharm el sheik in may this year and one of my favourite parts of the holiday was snorkelling at ras mohammed. There was about 20 of us all getting ready for snorkelling on the boat whilst the staff prepared the buffet on board for half way through. The first place we stopped at to snorkel didn't take long to get too, the crystal blue corals were lovely, although i have to admit i chickened out on the first bit of snorkelling as people were jumping off the boat with their flippers and masks on as the boat was still travelling so I didn't jump as I was to far away from everyone else by the time i was ready lol the second part of snorkelling was within swimming distance from a lovely deserted beach with pure white sand so I jumped in and began swimming with everyone to the shore whilst looking down in the water to the amazing sea life. During the swim back from the beach to the boat we even see a sea turtle right at the bottom of the sea being filmed by divers gracefully swimming!! On our return to the boat we had a buffet of fresh food and continued on to our third and final place for snorkelling which wasn't too far from the busy beach but too far to swim, this is where my partner see some purple jellyfish float past us and i had a few colourful fishes swimming right next to me! The experience of snorkelling at ras mohammed was truly amazing and I would definetly go back to do it again and again!!!

Advantages: clean, friendly, some of the best diving/snorkling sites in the world Disadvantages: Not many! Maybe a bit too touristy as it is purpose built for tourists. Tipping.
