We arrived very early in the morning and upon arrival the studios were nothing impressive. Our room smelt of dogs (i think it was the bleach they use out there) so the first thing we bought was air freshner! Also our room was full off mosquitos so if you get bitten alot i wouldnt recomend these studies. For the whole of the holiday we couldnt even use our balcony as we had a tree right outside and there were hundreds of them flying about.
Also even though it was stated in the brochure that there was Air Conditioning we had to pay 7 Euros per night for it and you weren't allowed fans so you basically had to pay for it as it was too hot to sleep at night and becuase of the mosquitoes we couldnt open the patio door!
The amenities in the room was not brilliant, very basic, but most greek studioes are. Not much to cook with wither, only a tiny saucepan or a massive one and 2 small hobs. There was no Kettle or Toaster or Microwave so if you plan to cook i wouldn't recommend these studios and you wont be able to prepare much of a meal. The Bathroom was small, and lighting in the room was very very poor.
The rooms are cleaned every Sunday and Thursday and the owner and cleaner comes into the room early between 9 and 10 to clean. Often got woken up by them.
The location of the studies was good, as it was away from the main strip but in walking distance. The only annoying thing was that it was near lots of animals so you often got woken up early hours of the morning by mooing cows, barking dogs and chickens! which did get a big tedious byt the end of the holiday.
The pool was nice though and there were plenty of sunbeds during the day and the snack bar did somethin to suit everyone. The owners were quite friendly and spoke good english.
The resort itself was very nice. there was a good choice of restuarants. The best one int he resort i would say was Med Version which was just along the beach front, its a little pricier, depending what you have, than other restaurants there but worth every penny. We also went for a night into Kalamaki to a restuarant called Mermaids, which was also fantastic. Its been voted the best restaurant in
Zante and well worth a visit! a taxi from Lagans to Kalamaki only cost us 7 Euros and buses are 2.20 Euros.
The Excursions were very good. We went to the waterpark which was good but 2 of the rides were really scary! Also went on a 7 Hour boat cruise around the Island. The only good thinks about it was the Shipwreck and stopping to swim in the middle of the sea! Other than that the other 5 hours were really boring. If you wanted to see the shipwreck i would recommend doing just a half day trip and that is all you need!
The nighlight in laganas was fantastic. Plus and rescue where the best clubs there and there were lost of cocktail bars as well. All have the same offers offering free shots!
All in all the holiday was really good. Would have been better if we had nicer studios but we didnt let it get us down. Would definately recommend the resort but maybe not these studios unless you really dont care were you stay as long as you have a bed.
