DO NOT book a record rent-a-car on the Balearics... I had a holiday on Ibiza and hired a car for 2 weeks with Record. I was a little worried when I first arrived as the car was delivered to the airport with a woman holding a clipboard. They have no set booth. My fears soon disappeared when i got in the car (a Peogeot 206) and found it to be clean and in good condition. However after just 3 days of driving the car would not start. Fortunately we were still at the hotel so called the helpline. The biggest problem is they do not speak any English so if you don't speak spanish your in trouble. Luckily our hotel was extremely helpful and spoke to the company for us, not before wasting about 20 Euro on phonecalls. When we finally arranged for them to remove the car they could not offer us a replacement so they towed the car away and left us without a car. When, after waiting 2 days for a call, we were told the car would be delivered at some point the next day. After waiting around the hotal all day they didn't turn up. We then had to chase them up only to be told that the car had no fault. due to this they would not deliver the car back to us. We had to get a taxi to the other side of the island to pick it up from the Peogeot dealer. When we arrived the car had already been taken away by Record and nobody had any idea where it was. The upshot of this is that we lost the use of the car for the rest of our holiday (ten days in total) with no replacement at all. Nobody could help us. It turns out record have no offices on Ibiza and ship the cars from the mainland. Made our Holiday a nightmare...

Hi . Sorry I would have to disagree with this review. I have used Record 8 times this year and never had any problems. I am sure your problems are rare and we would expect any company to unfortunate circumstances as yours.
