Advantages: Good location, cheap, fairly clean Disadvantages: Tatty round the edges, no facilities
To spend a decent length of time travelling in the USA you either need to be loaded or be willing to stay in cheap, potentially grotty little motels on occasion. When I went to Hershey I stayed in one such place, a motel in the RedCarpetInn chain. Hershey has a mix of posh theme park hotels a la Disney, and cheaper, tattier chains such as Days Inn. They are all pretty much the same price, so I chose the one I did because I?d not encountered the chain before, and thought I?d try my luck.
I arrived around 10pm having been to work that day and Greyhounded in in the evening. Despite the late hour, the reception was manned by a terrible English speaker with a kind smile. She found my reservation quickly, accepted the credit card I offered up, and dished out a room key. The branch I was at was a 2-story affair which edged round the main ...
Advantages: Close to town and all amenities Disadvantages: none
I have never stayed in the Premier Inn before, but I felt I had to share my experience of the past weekend.
The staff in both reception and the restaurant were fantastic, they were really helpful and made you feel right at home.
The room and bathroom were both spotless, warm and the freeview television meant that my daughter didn't miss her soaps while she was away. The bed was both big and comfortable and we didn't have any trouble getting to sleep.
We opted for the breakfast deal and we were not disappointed, the food was well cooked and warm there was also plenty of choice.
Access to the hotel was excellent for both able bodied and non-able bodied people, we didn't have a wheelchair but we did have a six month old baby and a pram, and even though it is situated next to Charing Cross rail station we didn't hear a thing from ...
Advantages: good price, clever design, does the trick Disadvantages: would have liked the stain out that bit more
When it comes to cleaning I am not the most up to date on the best brands and products to use as it is only recently I have had my own house. I was having a social gathering the other week when one of the guests spilled a glass of orange juice over my cream carpet. I started to panic as I wanted the stain to come out and needed to run to the supermarket right away to find a product that would be able to get rid of this mark on my floor.
Down the cleaning aisle there was a selection of products that were for removing carpet stains but some were a bit pricey costing over a fiver which is more than I intended to pay. I then came across the 1001 Mousse which was reasonably priced and which was to attack wet spills and stains. I quickly bought this then rushed home to see how I would target this stain and hoped for some success.
