I am currently working in education. My passion is film! I will watch anything so expect alot of my reviews to be about DVD's. I also enjoy reading cooking and relaxing (being lazy!)

I must have been driving aroung with blinkers on the last few times I went to sixfields for it was only just this weekend that I noticed a large restaurant called Red Hot. The sign said international buffet. Intrigued myself and a visiting friend parked the car and entered.
Where?
Red Hot is situated next to the large cinema on the Sixfield site. In the immediate area is Northampton town football club, a bowling ally and at least four other restaurants. It is on the outskirts of Northampton and can be easily reached.
Food?
This restaurant practices what it preaches. You have a selection of chinese, Indian, Mexican, and Italian as well as a table full of salads and cold meats. My friend was concerned as to whether they offered enough of a vegetarian selection and was happy to find out that there was a large variety of meals without meat! I chose something from each area of the restaurant. The noodles were lovely served with beansprout for an extra bit of crunch. The fajitas were extremely spicy in meat and vegetarian options, you have been warned! The Indian and Italian was also prepared and served to a high standard and tashed great. The salad was a bit of a let down as it mainly consisted of lettuce and the dressings could have been presented a little bit better. Dessert was a selection of fruit, cake, and icecream with a selection of toppings. My only concern was that in choosing icecream I had to serve it on a plate not a bowl!
Drink? I wish I hadn't have been driving because the cocktail menu was fab! I dare anyone not to find a refreshment of their choice. My friend had a fruit based cocktail and took great delight in telling me how nice it tasted. Though I only had a diet coke it was available to me in different sizes, (I went for a large one!)
Staff?
As soon as we entered the staff were really polite. As my friend and I tried to decide our drinks the waitress gave us plenty of time to decide and as we hadn't been before explained how to use the buffet.
Overall?
So, overall the restaurant was great. Great for families, small or large parties anyone really. The parking was easy and there were plenty of spaces. Our meal cost us just over £27 which included a cocktail, large soft drink and two saturday buffet meals. I presume that weekdays may be cheaper!
Fab flavoured food
