We stayed at Reethi Rah, in the North Male Atoll, it took us about eleven hours to get there with a stop ay Bahrain for two hours. We reached Male Airport and then got a transfer by Dhoni (maldivian name for boat) to our island - the journey by boat was going to take approximately 2 and a half hours, as we left the port we were greeted by about 50 baby dolphins i could feel it was going to be a magical holiday!!!!
When we reached ... ...the staff and taken into the bar for registration and to get our room keys.
All the bungalows for guests were on one side on the island and the staff quaters were on the other side, there was a path through the middle of the island which was like a tunnel due to the amazing undergrowth protecting the path and growing around the bungalows.

Advantages: Resort feel Disadvantages: Environmental damage and too commercial
This resort has undergone a multi-million dollar enlargement to four times its original size. The damage to the environment and surrounding marine life is unmeasurable and surely will never be repaired in the short lifespan of the Maldives islands.
The resort now boasts 130 villas spread across four hectares of land. There is an unprecendented level of privacy yet it still retains a mass-scale resort feel due to the number of staff running around ... ...huge celebrity hangout and big players often seek refuge here. Russian businessmen are a familiar site along with their harems of young models strolling around in diamante-studded G-strings. The island boasts over 9000 bottles of wine, and the fish for its Japanese restaurant is flown in from Japan. Rather odd given the location of this island! Service is of course of the highest standard, but for 800 dollars a night, you'd expect at least that. ...
