Reflex records has been going for about 12 months , run by a guy called Richard Tunstall.
It's an excellent independent record shop based in Nunn Street near the Green Market in Newcastle.

Reflex is a good, independent shop. They sell mainly CDs (new and some second hand, I believe) and box sets but sometimes they have vinyl, cassettes, videos, DVDs, posters and concert tickets.
Purchases I've made include Ant And Dec's Greatest Hits for £1.99, brand new. The same album was £13 in HMV.
The sections cover rock, pop and soul as well as indie and "oldies" music. There is a 3 for £20 offer on many CDs. This includes new releases and ... ...as sometimes there may be only one copy of this but they will take enquiries. The downside is that the shop is somewhat small. I also think some of the products are "unofficial" releases, just looking at the window display. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected! The staff usually know what they are talking about and very often, what you are talking about, even if you are being vague. I'm not sure about the "after sales" service as I've never had any need ...

...Ian Tunstall (brother of Richard, Reflex records) the shop has a friendly atmosphere and the staff are always on hand to furnish you with any information that you require. Ian is the champion of loads of bands who wouldn't get noticed in todays major label dominated scene aside from promoting unknown bands there is also the ChangesOne record label which is starting to release music from bands that the majors perhaps wouldn't touch.
