Advantages: Very Central Location, Good Value For Money Disadvantages: 10am Checkout
When I needed to find some cheap Hotel accommodation in Nottingham City Centre a couple of Weeks ago, the Internet was the logical place to start my search. I tried the usual chains including Travelodge, but since my stay was less than one week away I quickly found that I was struggling.
Eventually I stumbled upon the Welbeck Hotel. Location wise it seemed perfect, right in the centre of the City, and price wise it was well within my budget too, and so I confirmed my Online booking.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Well to be honest the first thing that impressed me was the location. It was less than five minutes walk from the Lace Market, and well within walking distance of all of the other Shops and Attractions.

The Plaza Regencyhotel, Sliema is situated at 251 Tower Road, or as the local street signs put it Triq it-Torri. It is seperated from its sister hotel The Plaza, by a road Triq San Frangisk. The two hotel are connected together by a bridge six floors above the street. This sounds weird but works quite well. The two hotels share a dining room which is on the sixth floor of the Plaza, and share a swimming pool which is on the roof (seventh floor) of the Plaza Regency.
Both hotels have several steps to climb to get from street level to Reception and in my opinion would be awkward for someone of limited mobility. Once inside, the reception area is spacious and has arm chairs and a TV. The staff here speak good English and are helpful. Both hotels have lifts which are in my opinion both slow and cramped. Advantages: Centrally located with easy access to local tube stations, quiet area during the weekends Disadvantages: Building work taking place in the area, busy during the weekdays, Not many views of the area.
Introduction
This hotel is located in Moorgate, Liverpool Street or in layman terms it is in East London. The hotel is highly attractive on the outside. The transport system of London allowed me to get to Moorgate station in one hour on the Metropolitan line network. The streets here are really interesting because of the bars and coffee lounges. At Liverpool Street one difficulty I had was finding the correct exit to find the hotel.
