...it was four stars but more than twenty years ago! The hotel is in very nice location and look really beautiful from outside and in the reception, but one floor up and there is a big difference. Hotel rooms are very small and dark , so we immediately wanted to be upgraded and after 30 minutes of waiting we moved into suite. the suite was bigger, but a lot more expensive and still very old. shower was leaking, minibar was empty, heating did not work properly and there was only very old and small television. breakfast was in buffet style and there was a lot to choose from. the lobby staff were not so friendly. i would not use this hotel again and do not reccomend it to anyone....

It has a great view of the city, the Festival Theatre or the parks right by it. The rooms are spacious with nice comfortable beds and warm fluffy quilts, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, a wardrobe and a mini-bar, tv and all the general amenities. The hotel also has a swimming pool and a gym, and three really nice top quality restaurants, the Riverside, being a buffet-type setup with an amazing desserts section (mmm...chocolate!) but they also have an a la carte menu, Blakes which is a more dressy place...
