Advantages: Hot hot hot cheap cheap cheap Disadvantages: Touristy
Waht a superb holiday I had here. I went to Spain in April 1987 with my School on a weeks trip to the costa Brava. Its one of my favourite holidays to this date. I dont remember much about the town but I do remember that there were rocks at one end of the beach and a Tower/castle thing on it. Its ony about an hours drive from Barcalona where we had a great day out. Looked around the fort there. Lovely market too where you can buy your sombrero, donkey or castanettes!!!
Did you know that castanettes comes from the Spanish word for Chestnuts??? There is a great aqua park in Blanes for you out there that are more adventurous. You can have a complete spanish holiday with out a go on the kamikaze death slides!!! ...

As I'm sure some of you will be aware, I was in Barcelona for a long weekend to celebrate my 21st birthday, well one of the most important things, after booking your flights is finding a place to stay. Not exactly a Hostel more of a cheap hotel a bit like our Travel Lodge.

That works out at roughly £25 a night, which when you consider hotels right in the centre were about €138 a night that ...
Advantages: Fantastic album, highly entertaining!! Disadvantages: None!!!
I personally came to this album after hearing the most recent by Regina, 'Begin to Hope'. Already completely obsessed with Regina I had to search out new material! Regina Spektor is an amazing talent, mixing jazz sounds, classical piano, kooky lyrics and much more! Its hard to pin this lady down as every song sounds different. The only thing linking all her songs is the ability she has to suck a listener into her many stories.
I found 'Soviet Kitsch' just a satisfying if not more so than 'Begin to Hope' , a slightly rawer sound which feels a lot more experimental, it is a really exciting album with a lot of variation and a lot to offer. Songs like 'Ode to Divorce' are moving and slow and gentle, where as 'Poor little rich boy' includes percussion involving a drumstick being banged on a chair. Overall the album is a triumph one of those ...
