Modern hotel with decor influenced by local designs. The elegant lobby area, built around a central patio, is bright and airy with white wicker furniture and abundant greenery, and with a small cafe bar adjoining. There is anattractive breakfast room and a couple of small outdoor patio areas. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished in blue and gold tones and are fully equipped. Located in a residential area close to the city centre and next to the river acrosswhich is Cartuja Park, and the 'Isla Magica' theme park.
Advantages: great bars and tourist attractions Disadvantages: too hot in summer
...Seville is set in the heart of Andaluicia, in the south of Spain.
At first glance, it is filled with the usual touristy shops and attractions, but there is a lot more to it. The residents are are really laid-back. Like clockwork, the city shuts down every afternoon, for a long siesta. People gather in the Plazas for a bit of drinking and partying before catching a couple of hours sleep before the evening hits in. Shops stay open until 9pm-10pm. As everything has is relatively cheap, compared to the UK, you can really induldge in retail therapy.
Nightlife:
Seville is filled with fantastic bars, where you can grab some tapas, soak up some live spanish music, and meet the locals.
Nightclubs are a little on the chessy side - expect to see a lot of salsa.... To see Seville at its best, its worth sticking just to bars...

However, having stayed in Paris many times, we were well aware when we booked that the number of stars advertised by a hotel often doesn't mean a lot. Never take En Suite for granted, for instance, is rule number 1 when staying on the continent (we've learnt the hard way!!) However, this hotel definately deserved its 3 stars, and would fit the bill of a 3 star hotel in the UK.
We stayed at the Regina Opera for 2 nights in February 2004. The hotel is located in the 10th Arrondissement in an easily accessible location. It's off the main street so it's not too noisy at night, in an area that seems to have a large number of Turkish residents and restaurants. Back on the main road, however, are a wide variety of bars, clubs and restaurants to take...

On 18 April 1847 it was approved that two councillors, Jose Maria Ybarrra and Narciso Bonaciata held a livestock fair
Twelve months three "casetas" (stands): the Duke and Duchess of Montpensier, the Town Hall and the Casino of Seville appeared. In the twenties, it became an area of marked streets lined with casetas.
