think we had a great deal but would still have booked this hotel because it is within walking distance to many monuments and also within easy access to the metro.

It was a nice, quiet hotel that is not too pricey. I would have like some other basic facilities such as a kettle and tea within the room as well as a hair dryer. Overall, a happy experience.

A couple of years ago, August 2001 to be precise, we were on a touring holiday in the south of France. We didn't have any particular plans and we didn't have any hotels booked, we were just, y'kow, like drifting, man.
We had been at Carcassonne and then at a little place on the beach called St Cyrian-plage, and on making our way east, we stopped off at NIMES.
We liked what we saw, so we decided to spend the night.
We've stayed at a few Best Westerns, in a few different countries, and we've never been disappointed at the standard of accommodation for the price. So, when we saw a sign directing the route to the BEST WESTERN l'ORANGERIE, we had no hesitation in having a look-see.
l'ORANGERIE is situated in a peaceful, and very pretty area of wooded parkland, around 1km from the historic heart of this beautiful city ...

However on another note, do be careful as the driving in Rome is very fast and often wreckless and drivers do not always stop to let pedestrians cross the roads.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and air-conditioned and the atmosphere was very friendly.
I would strongly recommend the Relais Vaticano hotel for short stays. ...
