enjoyed Santorini greatly, nothing for children other than the pool and beach, there is a small water park close to hotel but did not visit this. To be really honest it seemed that no children were allowed on the island which was just what we wanted. All buses went to Fira and you could travel out from there, or hire a car but the cost of the buses was a maximum of 2.5 euro's per person per day it wasnt worth hiring a car. Would recomend Gods Garden ... ...The pool at the hotel is the best I have seen but be warned it is deep at the deep end ( diving was allowed). Breakfast is coffee, bread two slices jam and butter but to be fair they brought extra if you asked.
The pickup for the coach was about 100 yards from the hotel but the owner took all our cases to the pickup point in his car.
This is not a luxury hotel but was clean well placed. The holiday was great to relax ... more

Would recomend Gods Garden for meals excellent value and the owners are great. The pool at the hotel is the best I have seen but be warned it is deep at the deep end ( diving was allowed). This is not a luxury hotel but was clean well placed. The holiday was great to relax with no kids and only local bars and taverna's so don't expect to have wild nights and clubs.
The local people were all friendly. I would recommend Gods Garden to eat excellent prices and good food, we tried other Taverna's in the town but always returned here. If you take a trip round the headland from Perissa to Kamari by the water taxi visit the Kamari Taverna it's away from the front and was empty this could have been a bad sign, they didn't serve butter with the cover bread but when we asked for some they made it into garlic bread with olive oil (to die for) the fish was fresh daily and we tried to order tuna, which they didn't have when we visited a cople of days later we were presented with tuna free of charge.
If you feel energetic walk from Perissa to Ancient Thira which is at the top of the Mountain down the other side and into Kamari call at the Kamari Taverna and catch the boat back to Perissa. Be warned if you want to visit don't walk up the mountain on a Monday it's closed.
I wouldn't recommend the Sunset cruise it's overpriced.
A visit to Fira is well worth it but be warned the Jewery shops are fantastic and expensive as this is were the cruise liners come in.
Oia is again well worth a visit the prices here are more expensive 5 euro's for a bottle of water but is was served with ice and lemon and in an ice bucket you pay for the little luxuries.
If you like to snorkle the sea of Perissa has plenty to see.
We booked through Just holidays it was cheap but I would go back again
