Advantages: Great food. Interesting culture Friendly people Disadvantages: Little night life,
I have been to KotaBharu on four occasions and found that despite a good deal of negative publicity that the town is a very interesting one. It is very much a Malay town in character and atmosphere and markedly different from most of the towns on the West Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. It is quite a large town and has a lot to offer both the domestic and foreign visitor. I like the Museums including the war museum and the royal museum and also the handicraft centre is well worth visiting. Another great thing about KB-as the locals call it-is the fantastic food on offer. Although I am from Johor and naturally like Johor cuisine I also find the stall food in the Kelantanese capital is really tasty. I would recommend anyone, unless they are a vegetarian,to try the ayam perchik-barbecued chicken-it is superb. You can also get a lot ...
Advantages: Unique Culture. Nice Handicrafts. Friendly People Disadvantages: Night life is limited. No alcohol is served

At the Cultural Centre (Gelanggang Seni) you can immerse yourself in Kelantan’ ...

Flying to KK
We flew from London Heathrow via Kuala Lumpar. The flight to Kuala Lumpar took 13 hours (which was quite harsh as it was my 1st ever flight) From there we flew to another place (which I can not remember the name off) which took about 2 hours, and then a further 2 hours to Kota Kinabalu. The only downfall to the holiday were the long flights but its necessary if you want to visit these beautiful places.
Staying in KK
We stayed in a five star resort while we were in KK which was very reasonably priced. We paid £900 per person ...
