A few years ago I wrote a book and dabbled at short stories. Unforetunately none were published but it was very satisfying. As most short stories appear in womens magazines I decided to 'be a women' and write for the female market. Perhaps after reading this you may realise why they declined to publish, or maybe not.

?I can?t stand much more of this damn heat?. They were all saying it. The British are very fickle; moaning all winter long about the cold, and as soon as we have a sustained period of hot weather, they moan again.
The rented car I was driving had no air conditioning, and the soaring temperatures were having a similar effect on me. My trusty Rover, complete with all mod cons, was in for a service, and I was having to drive all over the country in this rent-a-wreck ...
