Luxury in Leeds

Advantages: Luxury at a relatively reasonable price
Disadvantages: Limited Parking

a writing desk with large mirror (perfect for your makeup in the morning) as well as a separate full length mirror adjacent to the bathroom. The room also had a little seating area with 2 chairs and a coffee table. The room was fully air conditioned with powerful climate control. One of the best features was the variable lighting ? there were 5 or 6 numbered buttons adjacent to the bed which turned on and off in different combinations the various lights around the room and spot lights in the ceiling, so you could go from bright to seductive at the touch of a button ? much more fun than a standard dimmer switch! The bed itself was huge and a haven of comfort, the nicest I?ve ever slept in. It had Egyptian cotton linen and duck down duvets and pillows that completely enveloped you. We had the added luxury of a 3pm checkout (essential on new ...

Holiday Inn Express Leeds the way to good service.

Advantages: Excellent self-service breakfast. Clean rooms and good facilities.
Disadvantages: Rooms are a bit too small generally. Bit expensive.

On my trips to Leeds I always book into the Holiday Inn Express, chiefly because it is the closest hotel to where I need to be. Within this review I refer to my last experience of staying there about 10 months ago. Outside the building doesn't look too attractive, and the entrance is a bit basic with its blue doors and plants. However, when you make your way through the doors, the lobby is much more impressive. As I approached the counter to sign in, I was greeted by a member of the staff politely within a few seconds. I had already booked so it was just a matter of signing the piece of paper and taking my key card for my room. I was on the 6th of its 7 floors and being rather lazy, decided to take one of the 2 lifts they have. The corridor I travelled down to my room is rather luxurious, and lacks the certain cheap and tacky ...

A good stay but should have opted for Hotel

Advantages: nice apartment, good size, fair location
Disadvantages: MIssed the luxury of a hotel

I booked one of these apartments for my parents to stay in whilst they were up in Sheffield for my graduation. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment for 2 nights for a total of £300.00. BOOKING I booked the apartment on line and paid in full up front. The booking staff were efficient and rang to confirm my booking as soon as payment went through. They also offered a complimentary gift of either chocolates or flowers. The booking also came with a free dvd rental from the nearest self-service dvd store. LOCATION I graduated from Sheffield uni, and whilst the apartment is fairly central, it is some distance from the university itself and therefore a bit of a trek. However you can always pick up a black taxi from the high street without any difficulty. APARTMENT BUILDING The building itself is is quite new and reminded my ...
