Advantages: close to the motorway, cheap Disadvantages: TOO close to the motorway!
We have recently travelled up to Scotland from Devon and on the way home needed to break up the 12 hour journey. We stopped at Premier Travel Inn - Preston East.
This Travel Inn is literally right beside the southbound motorway near junction 31a northbound. We were travelling Southbound, so had to come off at junction 31, join the northbound and come off at junction 31a.

We had an AA Road Atlas with us and also a directory of all the Premier Travel Inn's in the country. This is a very handy booklet as it has directions and location for each Travel Inn.

Like all other chain motels Days Inn doesn't really differ much.
Me and my other half stayed at thi specific one whilst on the way to see a friend a it was quite a long distance away. It is situated in a convinient location at the services on the M1.
The staff were polite and helpfull telling is the prices of breakfast and what times to be out on your last day.
The room was clean with an on-suite bathroom with a bath/shower, sink and toilet. There was also basic soap available and a sign saying if you needed more toiletarys they would be available from reception some such as razors and toothbrushes would cost.
It was heated well with a controllable electric fire so you could set the tempreture yourself, tea and coffee making facilities were available with hot chocolate and biscuits there too.

Introduction:
Whilst in America, my partner had to go on a business trip over to New Mexico for a whopping 3 weeks. As I'm over here stateside, I managed to go too for the whole duration?freeeeee holiday! We were given accommodation in the ResidenceInn, part of the Marriott group, and being a fan of these types of hotels (chains), from my experience in Michigan, I rather looked forward to it.
