...Nous nous sommes rendus 5 jours à la Villa de Loulia. (900€ en BB !! très cher pour la Grèce) Nous occupions la chambre "Persephon", petite chambre obscure éclairée seulement par une petite fenêtre. Après deux jours, vous avez l'impression de dormir dans une cave. Pas d'air conditionné, pas de tv satellite (uniquement des postes grecs), pas moyen de fixer les volets (ils claquent toute la nuit), obligation de tenir la douche en main pour ne pas recevoir le jet dans la figure, le robinet de l'évier coule. Quel bruit !! Les planchers sont en vieux bois et les bruits de pas dans la suite supérieure sont assourdissants. En face de la chambre, de l'autre côté du mur de la maison (+- 2 mètres), il y a l'arrêt de bus et le supermarket du village. Le bruit est tel qu'il est impossible de dormir après 8h00. Advantages: Off piste skiing is vast
Disadvantages: resort can be a bit quiet (could be a good thing!!)

...I've just come back from a 10-day trip to Tignes Les Brevieres, The lowest of the Tignes ski area at only 1550ft people may think there would be little snow, this is where they are very wrong in the village we had over 1.5meters of snow! The Village of Les Brevieres is quite quiet with only a hand full of bars and restaurants but all top class establishments. The Restaurants are very well priced not extortionate prices that you find on the pistes and in Val D'isere, A mixture of foods are available at these restaurants from fondue to pizza, so perfect for adults and kids. There is a few bars and one nightclub called le underground under the Chalet Chardon's (in the centre of town opposite Vincent's bar) this is where most of the seasonaires and everyone else ends up for the end of the night for a session of drinking, table foot... Advantages: Good ski-ing, Great surroundings, great accomodation
Disadvantages: Quite expensive, but then the Alps is everywhere

...if that is your thing, as well as nice red runs down through trees for the more easy going. Restaurants are many and varied, and although some are reasonably priced some are also expensive. Ski hire is reasonable from the shop at the funicular £10 a day, but the ski pass is quite expensive £110 for 6 days. We stayed in a place called Le Pre which normally has a lift which takes you up into the resort, and you can ski straight back to the Chalet at night. Unfortunately it had been unseasonably warm and the snow level was at about 1600. Which means a trip to the funicular every morning. It is well worth having your own transport for this eventuality. also it means that a trip further afield to mingle with the beautiful people in Val d'Isere or eat at one of a number of good restaurants is possible.
