There are several Mimosa species but the one I talk about today is I think Arcacia dealbata
When we went to Tunisia at the end of February we saw many mimosa trees/shrubs. I was impressed by the sight of a row of these shrubs growing alongside the road.
The mimosa an evergreen bushy tree with green feathery blue grey green leaves. Grows to15 metres tall. The flowers are yellow, a small ball shaped flower which is sort of fluffy. Numerous of these flowers grow at the end of branches and are quite sweet smelling.
They grow well in full sun.
These trees /shrubs have a pale green coloured trunk.
This Mimosa is native to Australia. It will survive in a sheltered position in the south of this country.. It is a tender plant.

Advantages: GREAT LOCATION NEAR THE BEACH Disadvantages: RIMINI
Rimini is not my idea of a perfect destination in Italy, but it's close to San Marino, which isn't a perfect destination in Italy either when you come to think of it. Anyway, Rimini worked out fine for us last year as we wanted to visit San Marino and the choice of hotels was so much better.
That's why we went there - now for where we went there.
We opted for the Ramada Villa Rosa, mainly for the location it has to be said, but also because it looked a half decent hotel at a half decent price (80 euros).
The location couldn't be any better. It's 5 minutes from the historic town centre, sits right on the main drag just across the road from the beach and surrounded by bars and restaurants. We weren't really there for the beach, the historic town centre wasn't up to much but the bars and restaurants held a little more appeal ...
Advantages: Atmosphere around the hotel Disadvantages: Lack of quality at breakfast
Recently returned from a 2-week break in Sidari staying at the Mimosa Hotel and all i can say is excellent!!
We arrived at the hotel around 5am in the morning after a long flight delay and despite all 8 of us being very sleep and delirious we were quickly checked-in and taken to our rooms.
The room was decently spacious with 2 single beds as requested, a nicely sized balcony and plenty of storage room for clothes. Being half-broad, breakfast and evening meal were included, however we only ate breakfast on 5 of the mornings as the menu was limited and the quality of food was not the greatest and only basic. A 'full-english' was available but only at an extra cost.
The evening meal was much better. It was a set menu for each day but there was a wide variety on top of vegetarian options. The size of the meal was of a good portion and was ...

The Residence Mimosa is just 70 metres away from the beach in the Bellariva neighbourhood of Rimini. It features self-catering apartments and rooms for total privacy and independence. All of the guest rooms at the Mimosa Residence were refurbished in 2006 and feature free internet connection, Satellite TV and air conditioning. The apartments are complete with a fully equipped kitchenette. The central location of the residence means you are close to a number of restaurants, bars and shops. Mimosa has excellent public transport links with buses to all destinations stopping directly outside.
