The hotelResidenza Cannaregio is a nice medium sized 4* hotel recently refurbished into a beautiful modern 2-storey hotel. It is situated in Cannaregio an authentic traditional part of Venice right next to the Campo De Gheto Novo, which is the oldest Jewish settlement in Europe.

The hotel is at the of a long narrow street. It has quite a small entrance that opens up into a big wonderful reception area. There are 4 steps into the reception area. Last week my boyfriend turned 26 and I wanted to surprise him and take him away somewhere swanky for a short break. We both work very hard and long hours so I was after somewhere where we could relax and switch off from everything for a couple of days and just feel a bit pampered.
