As far as chippies go, it's very rare anyone makes an effort. The staff are often miserable at being stuck around the fryers all day, they're hot, and dirty. Luckily, Adam's Place is none of these things. The staff are friendly and sociable, it's not too warm inside, and spotless. Located in the heart of Selly Oak on the Bristol Road, it is frequented by the locals which includes the student population of the University Of Birmingham. The usual selection of food you would expect from a chippy is available, as well as a few optional extras, like the tasty battered onion rings. Everything is cooked well, and is pretty tasty - the chips are well made, and not too tough, and the sausages are just right. There are many offers to be taken advantage of, with a variety of foodstuff involved in the low prices. And finally, there is a wonderful little dining area inside, meaning you don't have to sit around in the cold eating your food. It's a good place to visit if you fancy a meal of this kind, and I'm sure you'll appreciate it as much as I do.
