Watch out for the monkeys

Advantages: Stunning
Disadvantages: Quite expensive and relatively inaccesible

swimming monitor lizards can occasionally be spotted, when they're not sunning themselves on the bank like mini dinosaurs. YOu can follow trails to where a small waterfall has created a natural swimming pool, and swim in the cool river water while watching butterflies and tropical birds flash overhead. YOu can drift down the river in complete silence in a rubber tube, trying to spot monkeys and kingfishers and dodging the (harmless) monitor lizards. You can eat cheap and excellent Malaysian food in a floating restaurant and watch the moonlight catch the forest mist. You can take night hikes and spot tiny mouse deer, their eyes flashing in your torchlight. In short, a magical place and a chance to see pristine and ancient rainforest preserved, even has it's hacked down all over the world. Just watch out for those monkeys - I wasn't kidding about ...

Tried and tested Travelodge

Advantages: excellent location and good value for money
Disadvantages: outside noise, don't use the Wi-fi

succession of car racing up and down outside our window and as you can imagine there was quite a lot of noise but I was lead to believe work is being done to put a stop to this at the moment. Over all I would say this is a good value hotel in an excellent location smack bang in the centre of Plymouth. It is only a short walk from all the city centre attractions such as shopping centres, the hoe and the Barbican and only a few minutes walk to royal parade where you will find the major bus stops to take you further afield than the city centre. Another thing I must mention is a restaurant called Water Dragon, a buffet restaurant serving Chinese/Japanese and Malaysian food. It was just round the corner from the Travelodge (next door to the casino) and was Ģ10 all you can eat. The food was very fresh and there was a huge selection. It is by far ...

Review of Travelodge Plymouth, Plymouth

Shop til you drop at Suria KLCC

Advantages: 250 shops all under one roof. Ultra modern mall.
Disadvantages: Rather expensive

The Suria KLCC,at the base of the world's tallest buiding, the Petronas Twin Towers, is a wonderful shopping centre and is a must see place for lady visitors to Kuala Lumpur. For starters there are approximately 250 retail outlets at this ultra-modern mall including one of my great favourites,Marks and Spencers from UK. There is also a branch of Selangor Pewter and Mikimoto from Japan. On the ground floor there are several interesting handicrafts shops and designer clothes outlets. There are also shops selling pretzels, ice cream, drinks, and coffee if you need sustenance between bouts of shopping. There are a number of book shops, drug stores, shoe shops and on the top floor is an attractive food court with a cosmopolitan array of dining possibilities including Japanese,American fast food, Malaysian noodles. North Indian cuisine and Thai food ...
