...to drop off was impecable. 1car1 was the most resonable quote we got and included fully comprehensive insurance. A phone call from the airport on arrival (as directed -Manchester Office) resulted in us being picked up within 10 minutes . We drove a short distance to the office to complete documentation. Similar to other experiences on here unfortunately. We had twice rented vans from 1car1 and had had a reasonably good run of it. The staff were a bit sloppy and waiting times were poor. There was also confusion over what documentation was required, from what it overtly stated during the booking process and what was requested at the office. The issue was on the 3rd rental when the car was returned with minuscule scuff on the back bumper. They took the £500 excess and 8 weeks later I am still locked in an argument over the charge for the work and additional charges they see fit to add (one being administration which i find laughable) Over all hugely dissapointed and I advise people to beware. ...

The van we hired was not ready when we arrived - 35 mins later a van was driven from another site. No markings to say it was 1car1. No idea where they got it from. It was then washed and checked in the garage. We weren't given the opportunity to check it When we returned the van they tried to charge us for chips in the windscreen. These were so tiny I could barely see them. The person checking the car went straight to them, as if he already knew ...

...will cost you 500 pounds. 1car1 will promise you that you will be refunded any excess after the cost of repairs are deducted - this will not happen. They will pass you between the "right" departments, delay and make excuses, hope you give up and then tell you the damage comes to 500 pounds plus a bit more for credibilty's sake. Once your claim for a refund is denied you will fobbed off with ridiculous invitations to send your own engineers to discuss ...
