Ask restaurant on Spring Street (London: Paddington) is a breath of fresh air for a traveler. The wine is fine, the salads (e.g., hot chevre salad) and pastas (e.g. pomodoro basilico) are artful and delicious, and the service standards are high. Frankly, I was surprised to learn it was a chain because the manager runs the place like he owns it himself. I always have a least one dinner here when visiting London and staying in the Paddington neighborhood. ...
