...City but I feel that Aberdeen needs to be put on the map. Born and bred in London (and Hertfordshire), I have lived in Aberdeen for almost three years now. Known as ‘The Granite City’, mainly due to the fact that the majority of buildings are built from granite, Aberdeen is a busy City enjoying the reputation as being the ‘Oil Capital of Europe’ with an economy based around the oil and energy sector. Contrary to the popular ...

Best club in Aberdeen is LIquid, located just off Union Street, its a large lively club with two floors, bottom floor is your dancy, cheesy pop stuff, top floor is more R n B, both of which serve the purpose and you can get a good dance in both. Not sure on the entry fee though as when I've been I used a Snapfax and got in free. You can get in free with an Aberdeen SnapFax on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday ...

ABERDEEN CITY - Aberdeenshire
I moved to Aberdeen 4 years ago from a small village in Shropshire where I had lived my whole life. I came to Aberdeen to attend university at Kings College and this city has really worked for me. Aberdeen is a nice (non-intimidating size) city with plenty of things to do and some little treasures if you know where too look!
First things first Eating Out in Aberdeen…

Aberdeen are in the grip of a Tourist Crisis at the moment, and we should be doing everything we can to attract visitors to our city. We should make the most of our attractions in the City. Venture down to the Queen's Links Leisure Park, and you are met with various new modern bars, Scotlands biggest night-club a Bingo hall, and a brand new multiplex cinema, all built within the last 4 years. Great I hear you say, what's the problem?, What's wrong ...

Aberdeenshire has a unique place in pre-history. Only here will you find the recumbent stone circle. Sadly, many have been destroyed as man developed his agricultural traits. But a good number remain, and are well worth a visit.
Dating back to 3000 years BC or beyond, these circles seem to be a fusion of ideas from eastern Ireland, where passage graves had a recumbent stone marking the entrance, and the area around Inverness, where circles of similar ...

Advantages: New (and decent) places to eat and drink. Disadvantages: They get busy quickly!
So; Aberdeen finally embraces the fact that it is (a) a European city and (b) a European city of the 21st century. In the space of a year, no less than 4 new cafes have opened in the city centre - and not one of them is a Starbucks or a Costa!
For the well - read, and those who like good soup, there is "Books and Beans" in Belmont Street, a cafe - cum -secondhand bookshop. For those who crave the New Yorker experience, the Manhattan Bagel shop ...

With its sparkling granite buildings, Aberdeen has one of Scotland's most enchanting skylines, while the old town has a magical air of time gone by.
A fantastic range of first class restaurants and a vibrant nightlife combined with a thriving cultural calendar and shops galore, all help make Scotland's third largest city well worth the trip.
The capital of the Grampian Highlands is even more unique thanks to the treasures on its doorstep. Sample ...
