Advantages: Close to centre, reasonable rates, friendly staff Disadvantages: small rooms, near vertical staircases
The Acro is a popular hotel that my wife and I stayed in during October 2002. We booked on the internet through www.sashahotels.com, mainly because the costs were reasonable for Amsterdam and the reviews were very positive. Because the buildngs are narrow the stairs are near vertical, so descend with caution.
Breakfast is basic European and it is advisable to get down as early as possible as seating is limited.
The hotel is close to the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh and is just a 15 to 20 minute walk to the city's main attractions. ...
