Aeroflot

Without doubt Aeroflot is the worst airline I have ever had the disfortune to travel on. Where shall I start??? The food is terrible, its small, bland and where it should be hot is lukewarm at best. The service by people who look more like shot-putters than stewards or or stewardesses is slow, rude and very unhelpful. Aeroflot used to be a joke. I did not want to fly Aeroflot but I went in 1999 from Moscow to Vladivostok which is about as far as London to Vancouver. I tried very hartd to find soime other way, even if it meant going via Anchorage but no one could tell me about the flights from Anchorage to Vladivostok, so I had no choice. I recently flew Aeroflot to get to Delhi, Via Moscow. The plane from Heathrow to Moscow was fine, as standards need to be maintained. However The Moscow to Delhi flight was a different story. There were wires hanging down from the ceiling and shaking ceiling tiles. The plane was a bit smelly and the staff looked as miserable as sin. ...resolution with stolen items - aeroflot doesn't reply for two month. Person responsible for carrying these kind of cases is unreachable. ...will not be travelling with Aeroflot anywhere. If you visit a website that lists air crashes you will see that Aeroflot is by far the worst. I think this might have something to do with the fact that during the cold war, crashes were not reported due to the pride of mother Russia. I've flown with Aeroflot from London to Ekaterinburg via Moscow on numerous occasions. Each time I fly, the service has got better and better. They really are working hard to shake of the image of clapped-out aircraft and poor service. They are constantly updating their fleet and the older aircraft are being retired off. Everyone warned me about Aeroflot. I was surprised to find a large aircraft with plenty of leg room, nice vegan food and a pleasant atmosphere. It was even on time for the outward journey from London to Moscow. The return journey was late, not good after 15 hours already waiting in the worst airport around. However that time was made up.
