Advantages: Very good, for £8-35 Disadvantages: Falls down on presentation
Afternoon tea seems to be an English affair that a lot of us enjoy. Having been for tea at The Ritz any other afternoon tea would be a hard act to follow.
My daughter and I where shopping and thought we would go and try the Marks and Spencer afternoon tea. The cost of this is £8-35 for two, not bad when you pay a couple of quid for a cup of tea or coffee.
Afternoon Tea is served to you at your table on a three tier stand, with a Devon Scone, Clotted ... ...the pack of sandwiches of your choice on the middle tier. It looks o.k. but the sandwiches are in the see through packaging and not arranged to look nice. I suppose that it is food hygiene that probably stops the staff taking them out of the packaging and placing them on a plate……..We also had a pot of tea, Marks and Spencer Gold Label Tea, which gave the two of us two cups, and a small jug of milk.
The choice of sandwiches left a lot to be desired ...
