...said about the German airline Air Berlin.
AIR BERLIN
~~~~~~~~
Air Berlin’s home airport is easy to guess: Berlin-Tegel!
In April 1979 the first Air Berlin machine from Berlin-Tegel started to the favourite island of the German – to Palma de Majorca!
Air Berlin is a charter-airline and approaches destinations around the Mediterranean Sea, the Canaries, North Africa as well as some European big cities.
Besides there are the Majorca shuttles, ... ...29€!!
FLEET
~~~~
Air Berlin owns one of the youngest fleets of Europe; the average age is below two years! Air Berlin still changes its fleet from Boeing 737-400 to Boeing 737-800 since it has a larger range, more passenger seats, it flies faster and because of the Winglets less kerosene is needed.
Security is very important for Air Berlin: as the first German charter-airline it introduced the anti-collision system TCAS.
The fleet exists of:

I flew with Air Berlin between Manchester and Hamburg just before Christmas on a route that used to be operated only by Lufthansa (another German airline). The cost of my flight in total was just under £70 although if I had booked earlier then I would have no doubt got the flight cheaper!
The flight left from Terminal One at Manchester airport and check-in was very busy with two flights departing at more or less the same time but there ...

Air Berlin Low cost Flight s to Germany and Beyond
This summer was the first time I had flown and to say I was nervous about my first flight was an understatement, especially as I had heard terrible things about other low cost air lines. I had nothing to worry about. The staff were pleasant and efficient and with the added bonus of being able to check in online the night before there were no worries about where I would be sitting. The flight I took ... ...I booked the flight with Air Berlin direct on there website www.airberlin.com which has since been improved since I booked my flight. You now use a map and click on the airport you wish to depart from and all the routes avaliable from that airport show up. Then choose the dates you wish to fly and click to search the flights. The lowest fare is highlighted on the day you wish to travel but there are several flights either side of the date chosen ...

Surfing the Air Berlin website I was able to book two sector flights.
124 Euro (airport taxes and fuel surcharge included) to fly from Milano-Orio al Serio (that means Bergamo) in Italy to Düsseldorf in Germany/return; and then 58 Euro (airport taxes and fuel surcharge included) to fly from Münster-Osnabrück in Germany to Palma di Maiorca in Spain/return.

The cabin crew is courteous and efficient, and speaks English and German.
After take-off I get a small tray with two slices of salami and a small piece of cheese, a roll and a slice of cake. I get also a choice of a soft drink or coffee or tea (wine and alcohol are sold ...

...to Palma de Mallorca via Air Berlin. We were through to the departure lounge by 11.30am and waited patiently for our flight. 12.25 came and went without news other than the 'delayed' message on the TV screens, and nobody, including my partner and me, was quite sure whether to leave the departure lounge or wait for news as there were very few airport staff present to ask for information. By this time furious with the lack of interest in either ourselves or our possessions (would it have been so difficult to let us know where our baggage was?) we went up to the Air Berlin desk where a huge crowd of angry customers had gathered. You may ask why we didn't leave the departure lounge earlier: without any information for an hour after the due ...

I started flying with Air Berlin about two years ago, until then i'd never heard of them but they offered a cheap flight to where i had to go so i thought i'd give them a go. I've heard alot of horror stories about so called budget airlins and wasn't really expecting alot but to be honest, i was very pleasantly surprised. It is also worth noting that Air Berlin has become the second largest airline in Germany and continues to grow, with this growth comes more flight destinations.

I have used Air Berlin on only one occasion but not because I was disappointed with the service, quite the contrary - I was highly delighted and absolutely gutted when they stopped the service to my chosen airport in Germany.
I found Air Berlin to be a hybrid between the standard no frills airline and your major European airline.

Air Berlin went a big way to facilitating my most recent visit. The first time I went, I flew with KLM, which was a little too expensive for my liking and involved a two hour haitus at Amsterdam Schipol - when taking such a short trip, you can do without doubling the length of the journey. Turning up and checking in with Air Berlin was easy and quick. While the Buzz and Ryan Air desks were packed ...

I travel from Stansted to Alicante every year, usually with Ryainair, Easyjet or Flybe. I recently decided to fly with Airberlin because of a recommendation from a friend and i am so glad that i did. Free unlimited food and drinks were provided (with the exception of alcohol), which i was ... ...by airlines when it comes to eating and drinking. All this came at a bargain price, cheaper than i would normally pay with other low-budget airlines.
I also noticed at the airport that while most of the low-budget airline flights had delays, all of the Airberlin flights were on time. The only negative of Airberlin is that they do not fly to enough destinations! If they travelled to more locations i would certainly be using them for every journey ...

Air Berlin are a newish airline trying to tap the short haul cheap end of the market, they offer a 'no frills' approach and as such you get what you pay for. We booked via an independent travel agent so thankfully did not have to endure the website or phones etc. I was surprised, I will be honest, as a family we are not great fliers (the wife hates it) and as such have little to compare. Useless. Lost a whole travel agents passanger list and initilally denied entry. This was after passangers had to confirm the day before they were on the flight at their own cost back to the UK! Approx £5 for a mobile call due to wait.
