...We had flown with Span Air once before, but not with this airline. We drove to our local airport at Exeter…approximately 20 miles from our house. Near the check in, was the arrivals screen, and our plane was expected to land 18 minutes later than it was due.
Take off time was supposed to be 12 noon, but it was almost that time before we were called to the gate. Then after waiting at the gate for about 15 minutes, we boarded the plane. We were greeted ... ...the engines. AIR EUROPA INFO. The passenger airline “Air España” was founded in 1984, and in 1985, the name Air Europa was established. It was the first private Spanish airline to operate national scheduled flights.
In 1995, it began its first International flights between London and New York. It is now owned by Global Corporation. The current fleet (according to internet info found) comprises 30 planes. These being mainly 737’s. 2 x Boeing 737/300; ...

Air Europa
I have just returned form Alicante on a flight operated by Air Europa. Air Europa are a Spanish Airline that operate from various airports providing direct flights to various airports in Spain. My flight was between Aberdeen and Alicante, and, as I have never flown with them before, here is my review of their service.
Check in
This is a bit of a grey area for me as I am not sure whether the check in staff at Aberdeen actually worked ... ...whether this was Airtours or Air Europa as the reps from both companies blamed the other!
Flight, service and food
The flight to Alicante from Aberdeen lasts just over three hours. The plane was similar to those operated by Easyjet and was clean and tidy with a nice greeting from the Spanish in-flight staff.
The seating was all allocated but there was limited leg room. The in-flight staff were all Spanish, were polite and spoke good English. However, ...

Be Careful! Air Europa Are Contract Respecting Thieves
This is to warn all passengers of any airline and the clients of the Spanish Air Europa in particular.
On 1st September 2008 I was away in Chile and my wife, still working in the Dominican Republic where I had to return, bought me an Air Europa flight to Madrid, Spain from Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic. She paid local cash for the fare in the Dominican ... ...to Warsaw, Poland.
Soon afterwards Air Europa called off the flight between Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Madrid, Spain. Unfortunately for my wife and me, the news was bad and quite significant: Air Europa flight the next day didn’t suit us in any way, and thus the connections of Copa Airlines and LOT Polish Airlines had to be moved. The penalty was US$ 220. But our worries didn’t end there at all.

I had never heard of Air Europa until I found a cheap flight advertised on e-bookers that fitted in perfectly with my requirements of a 4 night stay in Majorca.
The flights were very cheap £140 return for 3 people.

Though next day flights were over £200 (though still a bargain compared with BA (£455) and Easyjet (£300)
These were a lot better times than can generally get with package flights but did ... ...of travelling to Spain, then Air Europa definately provide that. But customer care is very low, though saying that as it was only a 2 hour flight I was looking more for reliablitiy than comfort!
It is worth checking regularly on expedia and e-bookers as prices seem to change almost daily.
By all means travel with these but dont expect any frills or smiles! ...

I didn't think they were as good as Airtours for the following reasons- The two Airhostesses did speak english quite well, but did'nt smile at all, looked really bored and chewed gum!. Advantages: comfortable for the price Disadvantages: stops for refuelling
Having travelled with Air Europa 3 times I felt that this airline delivers pretty good customer service after my recent flight with an English Airline!!!!
There is enough room in the seats - not as crammed as one I could mention! - and the stewardess always look very well groomed and professional. I have had a slight comment on my last opinion of another Airline for saying that the uniforms and the turnout of the stewardess wasn't great - but sorry ... ...with them again. With Air Europa I've always found that they wear very smart uniforms and will wear hats and gloves when seeing passengers on and off the plane - not a necessity I know - but it looks professional and gives a good company image.
The plane itself was clean and tidy and the flight was well organised. Sweets are handed out at the take off and landing of all flights. Food was served before the movie was shown so that people could settle ...

I flew on Air Europa for the first time last year on a one week vacation from London Gatwick. I departed at about 8pm and arrived in Palma at 11pm local time. The price of my return ticket to Mallorca was very reasonable indeed. £120 returns if I remember correctly. This was booked two months in advance.
I was permitted 6Kg of hand luggage which must consist of one piece measuring no more than 25cm x 35cm x 45cm. I was also permitted 15Kg of luggage ... ...I would defiantly use Air Europa again.

The worst and most stressful time of my life. The service was absolutely disgraceful. The communication between the airline and their contracted rep at Gatwick was non existant. So instead they just stringed us along with lie after lie. To start with 3 weeks before take off we recieved our first 'delay' that was 11 hours was annoying enough, let alone what was to come. Our next delay was from 18:00 to 4 in the morning. Eventually we get 2 hours sleep ...

Last week I flew with Air Europa to Mallorca (Majorca). It appears to be the spanish equivelent of Easy Jet or Go, the livery also suggests some sort of link with Iberia (perhaps the parent company). Lets see where to begin because its a budget airline I was not expecting mirracles the food was nothing to write home about, small partions. The seats were uncomfortable to say the least, there was no point in having reclining seats as if you reclined ... ...none of our party was disabled. The drinks were priced extortionatly and there was no onboard entertainment. Also flying to Mallorca during decent there was the most ouful loss of air pressure in the cabin. I fly quite often and never have I felt so much pain in my ears. ...

...rough treatment on flight with Air Europa and broke down. The company promised to refund the damage, as it finally did. But getting the money required dozens of mails, phone calls, and facsimiles. And even turning to the European Consumer centre. The flight was from Salvador, Brazil to Madrid, Spain. When noticed the backpack had got broken, filed a baggage claim report right away at Barajas airport. First, they told to get a replacement bag in Madrid, ... ...to send the receipt to Air Europa’s Luggage service for refunding. Mailed all the original documents that Air Europa had requested, and kindly asked for reimbursement. Nothing happened. Called to Air Europa several times. During those phone calls they told to send again all or some of the documents already sent. This finally cost half of the price of new backpack plus all calls from various parts of the world to queue in Air Europa's ever-busy Customer ...

...recently travelled to tenerife with air europa on a night flight.Having not heard of this airline before,i was a bit weary of what to expect.I was pleasently surprised at the service onboard.The aircraft was very clean and the staff although spanish were fluent in english.The food we had was first class and was served promptly.All children were supplied with pillows and blankets,and adults the same if requested.The captain kept us fully informed ...

Ugh! First of all, on the way over there was a delay of about 30 mins (not too bad) but there was a delay of about 1 1/2 hours on the way back, and when my parents went out before me they had a delay of about 5 hours. Also the plane was kinda decrepid, at one time the flaps on the wings were supposed to come up, one went up the full way and the other went up half-way! That may have been deliberate but it sure scared me!

Air Europa, the most deceitful company I have ever come across. They flew a plane load of passenger to GRAN CANARIA when they were supposed to be taken to FUERTAVENTURA and DID NOT TELL THEM until they landed. They were ABDUCTED!
