Advantages: Great inflight service
Disadvantages: book well in advance

...have no hesitation in recommending Aer Lingus above many other Airlines with so called cheap fares. The aircraft was roomy and bright inside, clean with a good inflight magazine with value for money onboard shopping available. The flight attendants were very helpful and made themselves available when requested evn though the flight was nearly full. Disadvantages: not enough intercontinental routes ( sadly !!)

...have flown several times with Aer lingus ranging from their Viscount service from the old Liverpool Speke Airport in the late 1960's and 70's to their BAe 146 service from Manchester and the twin jetprop Fokker 50's from Leeds Bradford.. and in all this time their standard of service hasn't changed, maybe even improved, obviously there is not enough time to give a full cabin service between all the UK regional airports and Dublin some being only 21 ... Disadvantages: Very Basic

Aer Lingus are one of the 2 big players on the Ireland-England Route. The other being Ryan Air. Aer Lingus has been established for a bit longer than Ryan Air and it gives a better level of Service. They both operate from the same airport as my airline and the general concensus from passengers I meet is that Lingus give a better level of customer service. Disadvantages: Usually late, snotty service more often than not

The whole Aer Lingus experience is nothing exceptional either - steward/esses tend to have delusions of superiority more often than not, while the food is unplentiful. Most Dublin-London flights seem to offer no more than a packet of peanuts by way of nourishment. Advantages: user friendly web site, low fares, excellent service
Disadvantages: very few

Using the Aer Lingus web site is simplicity itself. If your travel dates are flexible, it will offer a range of low fare options, many of which do not require a minimum stay. With your e-ticket, you can use the self service check-in machine, thus avoiding queues, and even select your preferred seat. Because of pre-assigned seating, there is no trouble boarding. Advantages: Good administration, competent staff, good ground handling and a good fleet.
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest option.

I have used Aer Lingus between Birmingham and Dublin for leisure travel since 1998. I have always found the administration to be efficient, the staff (both ground and aircrew) to be polite and helpful and the general level of service to be good. Air Lingus is in fact Aer Lingus, Aer being Irish (Gaelic) for air while the Lingus is an Anglicisation of an Irish word meaning fleet. Disadvantages: Aircrafts, Catering, Handling

As I am travelling on business quite a bit throughout Europe, I really feel I should express my dissatisfaction with this airline. First of all the handling at Dublin airport is not professional at all. In case that there should be any problems with the ticket, staff doesn't seem to be flexible enough to sort it out, so I decided on numerous occasions to fly with another airline instead, even though the ticket was not appropriate for that routing ... Advantages: Good rates available with companion fares
Disadvantages: Sometimes slightly higher priced than Ryan Air

We use Aer Lingus and Ryan Air quite often (see my review under Ryan Air). On the whole I have found the Aer Lingus service to be entirely satisfactory, and price wise they can sometimes be more competitive than Ryan Air (watch out for their Companion Fares). Disadvantages: Still not enough leg room and the flight is too long

I recently travelled with Aer Lingus from Dublin to Los Angeles and found the service to be first class. I got the seat as part of a seat sale and was concerned about the quality of service I would receive but I shouldn't have worried as it was excellent and I will definetly use them again. Disadvantages: none realy

We used aer lingus last year for our holiday to Malta. it was a chartered plane and everyone was in the same class.The flight duration is 3hours 30 minutes. I thought it was quite all right but their was no inflight entertainment their was a book all about Ireland and where the tourist resorts are and whats in them but as we are irish this was not much good.
