I have been collecting air miles for a number of years now (since those heady days of paper miles) but have only seriously been collecting since they started giving them at Sainsburys. Plenty of extra points meant lots of miles and we travelled to Nice, Barcelona and Cologne - our favourite places - putting the miles in for free flights. I got into airmiles years age when they first came out in a blaze of publicity. Everyone was giving away what looked like Monopoly money and I soon took my family (4 in total) to Paris and back by scheduled flight. Then they fell out of favour, no-one was issuing them and I stopped collecting.
