I always swear I'll never fly with them again...
Review of Air Transat by
hanpau22
Advantages: Very cheap
Disadvantages: You get what you pay for (delays, ancient aircraft, poor customer service)
The advantage of flying Airtransat is that it's cheap. This used to mean they had a captive market in transatlantic flights to major Canadian cities. Today this isn't the case. Zoom and others have entered the market so there's competition. Trust me, you want to check out the competition.
The most positive experience I've ever had flying Airtransat was in a hotel. Yes, the delays were so bad because one of their aircraft wasn't flightworthy I got ...

Air Transit - not value for your money
Review of Air Transat by
filmlover23
Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Everything
...charters before but beleive me Air Transit adds new meaning to low cheap affordable travel. I fly from Toronto to London, the crew was rude, the food was terrible and there was a wonderful baggage restriction. I ended up paying $200 more coming back cause my baggage was over their limit. What Limit? These airlines limits are just made small so you have to pay them more when you get to the luggage check in. The flight was delayed going and returning ...

Pure torture
Review of Air Transat by
Tortured
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: extremely uncomfortable
Pure living hell.
Vancouver to Puerto Vallarta Dec 2007.
I am only 5'3'' and the seating was extrememly uncomfortable. Not only was the pitch the worse I've ever experienced, but the width of the chair was an insane 16 inches. My knees were crammed up against the seat in front of me. The people in front were mean enough to recline the entire flight.
People were yelling at each other for bumping each others seats. I thought the man a couple of rows ...

You Must Be Crazy to Fly Air Transat
Review of Air Transat by
robinwhybrow
Advantages: inexpensive
Disadvantages: cramped space, bad service, never on time
I would not fly Air Transat unless it was the only way to get somewhere, or unless it was half the price or better of the next least expensive option.
Mainly I feel like a number. Sometimes they are friendly; sometimes not--customer service certainly doesn't seem like a priority.
Space is cramped. Leg room is non-existent. If there were a class called "sub-economy," I would classify Air Transat in that category.
Food is on the crummy side ...

Cheap and nasty
Review of Air Transat by
Catwoman94
Advantages: It is an airplane
Disadvantages: Cramped, always late, food leaves a lot to be desired.
I would avoid this airline like the plague. I have family in Canada and we all travel regularly back and forwards. At one time of another we have all used Airtransat. I have not had one good review of a flight either outbound or return. These flights are always late, the food is rubbish and the service is poor. I know charter flights are cheaper for holiday makers but I am afraid if Airtransat was the only airline flying to Canada I would not go. ...
