Nightmare in Mahon Airport

Advantages: Usually pretty cheap (though not on this occasion)
Disadvantages: I don't know where to begin today - ask me tomorrow I might be kinder when I have calmed down!

Advantages: Good value for money
Disadvantages: Risk of not being seated next to each other

COME FLY WITH ME

Advantages: very family friendly, staf veryhelpful
Disadvantages: none that i can think of

Now MY Travel Airways and what a terrible service

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: poor service, rude staff, uncomfortable seats and much more.

Earlier on this year Airtours merged with JMC and are now operating their flights through My Travel Airways. We booked our holiday to Florida in June 2001 and booked through JMC and was meant to be flying with them, until we had information that they changed our flight and we would now be with My Travel Airways. We wasn't too bothered as long as we got there. We couldn't understand why they changed our flight though and moved some of us who booked ...

PREMIAIR GOLD - AIRTOURS. What a rip-off

Advantages: Plenty of Legroom, Comfortable Seats
Disadvantages: An Awful Lot! Please Read Review......

...years ago, we booked with AIRTOURS INTERNATIONAL on our first trip abroad to Mexico. We enjoyed this extremely! The only fault with the flight, was with the cramped 'cattle shed' aircraft. So, the following year, we booked with AIRTOURS again and travelled to Dom.Republic. This time taking advantage of the flight upgrades - PREMIAIR GOLD. Costing approximately £249 each, this included wider more comfortable seats, additional legroom and a greater ...
...And were informed from other Airtours Passengers that these were not working when they had flown with airtours a year later! The same films and music channels as on our outbound journey making an 11 hr flight very boring. But to add more............... NO COMPLIMENTARY BAR! What have holidaymakers and sardines got in common

This opinion could have been written on under any of these headings it really is charter flights in general. Hard luck Airtours Apart from the oil it is basically lack of space. If a visitor from Mars was in his UFO hovering over a Mediterranean holiday resort airport and saw an object come out of the sky and land he would be amazed. Here was this cigar shaped thing with bits sticking out the side approx 30 yards long and 13ft wide coming to a stop, ...

Advantages: own check in area at Manchester
Disadvantages: Where to begin, leg room, short seatbelts. Staff low morale it seems.

Airtours - Simply the worst

Advantages: Staff try their best in a bad situation, its just a shame about the company they work for, and the flights are cheap (you get what you pay for)
Disadvantages: Too many to list!

...and anything a chance. However Airtours have tried my patience once too many times. I travel on European charter package holidays, every year (sometimes twice per year) and have flown with most UK charter airlines i.e. the main ones being Air 2000, Britannia, JMC, Airtours etc. To be fair, charter airlines are not the authority on comfort, style and customer service because you have not had to get out a mortgage to buy your ticket, like you sometimes ...

My Travel Airways - Not all bad

Advantages: Prompt departures, good inflight service
Disadvantages: They don't always get it right!!

A bit of a squeeze

Advantages: Friendly and efficient staff
Disadvantages: Quite cramped

You cannot fault Airtours

Advantages: Poilite staff, very professional, clean planes, etc, etc
Disadvantages: None apart from the odd occasion when the radio may not work

I have flown with Airtours for the past 3 years and go abroad about 2/3 times per year. I have had no problems with Airtours, the flights are quite smooth (taking into account of airturbulance), the staff are professional, and the on board prices ae pritty cheap in relation to other airlines. The good thing about it is that Airtours make a collection of all spare change (only if you want to donate) of the foreign currency to a certain charity. This ...

Airtours International are a very good customer focussed company as experienced on a return flight from Malaga Airport, Spain. When a fault on one of their planes put the plane out of action, a replacement was found in enough time to prevent any delay on take off. I have personally flown with airtours four times. Out of those four times I was delayed twice, once due to a problem on the aircraft. We had actually boarded the plane in advance and others were startting to board the plane until a mark was spotted on the side of the plane. The flights to both destinations and back were quite satisfactory and so were the hotels I stayed with my family. I have travelled on an airtours flight 3 times now. The actual aircraft used are of a good standard but are the same as all charter flights with what can only be classed as cramped conditions. Personally I think these are fine for relatively short haul flights as the prices are kept down. The steward staff were well presented and courteous and the food was not bad, just OK. I am not bothered about in flight duty free and gifts as you can get them ...
...so I cannot comment on this. The flights were on time except once where we left 20 minutes late, but managed to make up time to arrive as scheduled! I think it was tailwinds or something. I do not hold the actual holiday company in high esteem though. Their service quality in terms of resort, brochure descriptions and reps have all left something to be desired and I have often met many others who think along similar lines.
