...have been, we flew with airtours to spain and I must say they were brilliant!
The staff were all very competant and very pleasant.
The food was wonderfull , I never thought plane meals would be so good!, and they even catered for children with a fun games pack to keep them occupied!, the preordered duty free goods were waiting on our prebooked seats and we were offered numerous drinks and sweets.
Also a film to watch to take your mind off flying!

...complaint - we flew with Airtours International. We were lucky enough to sit at the emergency door on the outward flight so had the extra leg room, but we sacraficed the bum space. These have to be the narrowest seats on the plane. I am a Size 16 and I could feel my hips being squeezed by the immoveable armrests whenever I sat down. Advantages: Punctual, reliable, friendly & efficient staff Disadvantages: Not much leg room
Airtours is an airline which has been aorund for a while, so you'd think they'd have quite well established methods of dealing with things to ensure the best quality service for the passengers. Well, it seems they do! Aside from the fact that the seats are a little squashed, and there's a slight sensation of being a sardine in a tin, once you sit down it's quite comfortable and pleasant. The aircraft was punctual, and the cabin crew were efficient ... ...on one of the scratch cards that they offer. I would certainly recommend airtours to anyone thinking of traveling within Europe, they're cheap and cheerful, but not so cheap that you begin to lose out too much as with some airlines. ...Majorca and after flying with Airtours I will never repeat the experiance. After taking off 3hrs late for a 2hr flight then to be told we could not land in Palma because of a power failure we sat on the runway at Alicante for 2and a half hours with 1 glass of water each, we were not allowed off the plane and asked not to stand in the isles, my husband is 6ft4in and was not in the most comfortable of positions after such a terrible start to the journey. ... ...had a flight time but Airtours never.
The seats on the plane are so crammed together if you are over 5ft 8in you will probably be uncomfortable after about 5mins.
The cabin crew were fed up and miserable because of the delays and they let you know how fed up they were, they were being paid to be fed up, but I had to pay for that pleasure. ...

We have used this airline for nearly all our holidays and they have been ebsolutely excellent! They have never been late for us (even though, apparantly, they have the worst record) and you can have a laugh with the rep's while you're there, they're really nice people. I could really reccomend this airline and they're one of the few airlines that fly from Leeds/Bradford Airport which is a nice airport which I really like; nice and compact and easy ...

Recently I flew with Airtours International from Belfast to Orlando / Sanford and was very pleased with the service. The Airtours International Rep. at the airport was very very helpful and did her best to sort out our problem. The onboard service was of a high standard and the crew were well presented and very professional. The airline screened a video of our destination whcih was very heplful and it was a bounus to have our own personal seat back ...

Advantages: None that I can think of. Disadvantages: Always late
I have flown with Airtours 3 times and on each occasion there has been a delay in the take off time of at least an hour on the flight out and coming back.
On all three occasions we were travelling to Reus in Spain. The first flight we had was on a monday morning, there was a four hour delay on the way out, it was my first flight and to be honest the extra waiting time made me even more nervous than I expected, on the way back the delay was also ... ...second time we flew with Airtours there was a two hour delay on the way out and instead of an airtours plane we were put on a large Icelandic plane because there was no Airtours plane available. The return flight was nearly two hours late also.
Last year, our third flight, we took my daughter, son-in-law and grandson with us, their first time flying. This time a six hour delay. We arrived in Reus very late, picked up the hire car and drove down ...

...that charter operators (of which Airtours in one of the UK's biggest) cut corners on aircraft buying. In fact, their fleets of Boeing 757s and 767s is often newer than most scheduled airlines as charter operators are very conscious of fuel efficiency which is better with modern planes. The real difference is the work rate, and the internal fitting. To get the best use out of their planes, they might make up to 6 flights in 24 hours, with little respite ...

On a recent trip down under,I flew with Airtours,what can I say,it was just excellent,good food,excellent service and oh can their stewardesses put the unruly passengers in their place,I am fed up with people moaning about some British(economy)Airlines.
All I would say is that other Airlines should take a leaf out of their book,I believe they are right to put passengers in their place,the trouble is half the people who use these economy airlines ...
