Location: I went on an Airtours holiday recently with my family, sister her hubby and little un. We were going to Alcudia Mallorca. We'd booked in some apartments 80 metres from the sea for convenience. It had ben a long year and we deserved this holiday. En Route: We set off from Manchester in a A320 airbus. But your transfer arrangements could seriously do with some re-thinking. The holiday on the whole would have been alright for adults but wasn't very child friendly. Choosing this tour company was a huge mistake. And there are so many more out there right now that feel the same. This company have managed to ruin our honeymoon BEFORE we've actually been on it. They have lied and covered up their own mistakes. My opinion of Airtours was not good. Although the vast majority of Holiday makers put up with the problems they encouter when flying with Airtours they shouldnt have to endure it in the first place. I used to be a travel agent and the number of times that I had made a booking with airtours and seen the list of complaints. I can recommend Airtours as a carrier if you want relatively cheap and reliable flights. Direct travel to European destinations from United Kingdom regional airports is a real problem as the really cheap flights seem to only be available from the major airports. ...my wife have travelled with Airtours on each of the last 3 main two week holidays to Cuba, Maldives and Domincan Republic. On all three trips we have had no problems whatsoever. Staff/Reps have always been very helpful and easy to find. They always seem to be where they say they will be, and at the time they say they will be there. One problem we had in Cuba was that we simpy ran out of money, as we were on a All Inclusive holiday we underetimated ...

I booked with airtours and not my usual tour operator as i only wanted a 7 day holiday and to fly from my local airport those however were the only good points of the flight. we had upgraded our seats to prem air gold for an extra £199 per person, yes we were in the front of the plane but the extra leg length and seat width were marginal with them only removing one seat from each row. we did have an upgraded meal and a better choice of films to watch ...
...economy!!! I wrote to airtours upon our return and asked when on other airlines upgraded seats have age restrictionsas there's did not seem to have, they replied that they were looking into it, well lets hope thats sooner than later as we will not be travelling prem air gold until an age restriction is in place.
