...second holiday to the same Airtours hotel. The kids club was very good, I think my daughter only miss two, in two weeks, in the first week my wifes friend went to pick up my daughter at the end of the session, to be told she was not named to pick her up and they could not let her go with her. something I thought was very good in terms of safety. when they got to know us there was not a problem. The mini disco they had each night proved to be entertaining ... ...(which we won £70 one night) was always good fun.
The evening entertaineers we always helpful and friendly. All of the daytime activites were made so the adults and kids could take part.
This hotel was an Airtours only hotel and we will be making another visit in the future ...

...and attractive building and environment - overlooking swim pool and beach - but very ugly buildings nearby.
Rep was undemanding, but friendly. Optional excursions varied from extremely good value (Aquapark) to expensive (Pirates). Brochure information was accurate. Good family holiday. No complaints with Airtours - will use them again. ...

...holiday to Costa Dorada through Airtours because their late deals were the best priced and I was just glad to be going on holiday at all – it didn’t matter who it was with, I thought. The problems began when we arrived at Reus airport and continued throughout the holiday. It’s my belief that Airtours thought they could give us substandard service because we had booked a seemingly cheap holiday. Our Rep was rarely available to attempt (and fail to) ... ...we have all complained to Airtours regarding our holiday, which we returned from on 3rd July 2000. I am still waiting for a response from them. Unfortunately, any compensation will not bring back that week that was ruined entirely due to Aitours not making resonable effort to ensure we enjoyed ourselves.
My recommendation is to book named accommodation if you do have to book with them in the future. With “allocated on arrival”, when they say you ...

I have just arrived back from my seventh satifactory Holiday in Spain with
Airtours. In spite of the many Letters of complaint You may read, I beleive taken as a whole, they do prove to be good vale for Money. O.K.
People will say I am just Lucky. Well Maybe !. but if You follow My few simple Rules You can be lucky too.
If you Book direct with Airtours, always get the Name of the Person taking the Booking,and make a note of it.
Never be to slow ... ...much You can learn if You only ask.
Always, Always, Book with a Credit Card.
If the hotel is Allocated on Arrival, it is best if You have been to the Resort before, as You may very well be Isolated Outside the Town.
When the Booking is complete, always get the Agent to read all the details back to You, including the total amount taken from the Credit card.
When you arrive at Your Hotel. One should remain with Your Cases, while the other One Checks ...

The Airtours Representatives.......(glad they don't represent me for anything) were absolutely non-existent...not even useless, well they were when we did actually manage to find one.
My husband phoned the office even before I left in the ambulance but it took 2 days for us to see our rep & then she didn't even know about the accident. Her excuse, she'd had a day off & hadn't been in work till 12pm that day. This was now 6pm in ... ...travel.
Hubby thought he'd give Airtours one last chance & ask about travel to the Airport. Surely there was a coach going through Magaluff on a Friday night. He was told.get a taxi. So 35euros later we arrived at the airport.
No Mytravel rep to be found, we couldn't get tickets or information.
Eventually someone took pity on us & told us we didn't need tickets. To go straight through to check-in.
After a 4hr delay on the flight, a diversion ...

...terrified when we booked this Airtours holiday. We decided at the last minute to book it and took a gamble on an Allocated on Arrival in Gran Canaria. To make matters worse this was my very first package holiday i had ever been on!!
Ive got no complaints about the price as it was just over £100 for one week self catering at the end of july, but for the few weeks before we left all i kept seeing on the tv was 'Holidays from Hell' and similar programmes. ... ...Fortunately i was proved wrong.
Travelling was fine. Plane was just what you would expect from a plane. Cabin crew were helpful but we didnt have the meal so i cant comment on that. On arriving in Gran Canaria we were led to our transfer coach and was told loads of information on the way. We were also told that there would be an info pack waiting for us at the hotel and a notice board with info on the welcome meeting. There was neither there and ...

A group of 11 went on holiday, the flight was delayed. The plane was filthy and cramped, the staff surly and unhelpful. The was a stream of lies about the delays. The entertainment was completely inappropriate. The food was inedible. The hotel was overbooked, they put us in a damp squalid hotel next door to the one we booked. The reps in the resort were incompetent when they finally showed up for their surgeries - both hovels the reps were constantly ...

...flights with one of the Airtours companies, Airtours Direct, who also seem to call themselves Holidayline, GoDirect, Going Places or Jetset depending who answers the phone. When I recieved the tickets they had different times on from those I booked. I have been trying to correct this now for three weeks by calling their customers service number 08701 552 641. Try it for yourself if you feel like listing to music for a couple of hours with the occasional ...

...main problem was with the Airtours rep in Jamaica.
She was quite happy to take money for arranging things like the reception, wedding location etc, The flight wasn't too bad, there was quite a few of us who had booked through them, it took off on time, landed ok.
When we got there, about 4 days before the wedding, expecting all of the arrangements to have been made, we were alarmed to find out that she had not finalised the wedding recepetion. ... ...but somehow i don't think Airtours will be on their prferred list of travel companies!!!
The moral of this story is...... the cheapest may not necessarily be the best, and if you want a dream wedding in nice hot weather surrounded by sun, sand and blue skys....
i know a good artist who can create the same atmosphere for you in a marquee in a nice back garden in Kent!! ...

I travelled with airtours to Australia for the millenium for a so called holiday of a life time. Upon booking we upgraded to premiair gold, which we were told would allow us more room with back seat tvs and a seperate cabin area and prebookable meals, the cost of this flight cost us £1,500 each, which we accept was unusually high because of the millenium but paid it. So you can imagine our disgust and disapointment when on the day we arrived and ... ...we received a ltter of airtours offering us £50 compensation, the upgrades alone cost us £300. When we rang back the staff were both ignorant and arrogant and offered no sympathy whatsoever, at one point they even denied we were on the flight the standard of service both on the ground and in the air were appauling and totally un acceptable. ...we had booked directly through Airtours and she still blamed another firm - eh ? We had a wonderful holiday and I must in all fairness say that the standard of our accomodation was fantastic! That was until we arrived at Alicante Airport and was told that yet again our flight had been delayed by 3 1/2 hours and a departure time had still yet to be confirmed. We were told to still check in and go through to passport control where we would be provided ... ...now for 7 hours an Airtours rep arrived to say that the plane had still not taken off from Manchester and they had no idea what time we would be flown home !!!! We were told that there had been mechanical difficulties with the plane which had now been fixed only to be told the pilots had run out of flying hours!!!! All 250 passengers were then told that we would be taken to a nearby hotel for 3 hours where we should try and get some rest. When we ...

...have been on about 5 airtours holidays. One reason is that i had bad experiences, and was given holiday vouchers to use on another holiday.
At one hotel they were still building it, and I was only told 2 days before i was meant to go, and another time one odf my party becaume ill and had to go to hospital. The reps were very unhelpful, with two women sounding like they were advertising a well known brand of soft cheese. I was not told of the quickest ... ...later told there is a direct one.
I have also had good experiences, a recent one at Le Saphir in Hammamet was excellent, with good reps, good entertainers and a top quality hotel.
Although here there were other people who were very unhappy. This hotel (Le Saphir) is not for young children (in winter anyway), and some families were very unhappy indeed.

Having flown on Airtours a number of times I know that they work on a tighter budget than the scheduled flights, bearing this in mind they do cope quite well. On a recent flight to Florida I was faced with a couple hours delay in departure then nine hours on board with no entertainment. The video continued to conk out, not the best sign on a plane. To make things worse the same happened on the way back with no apology just a snap back from the flight ...

...tavelled with Airtours. My favourite way is to book a 'Late Deal' - "you pays your money and you takes your chance". This has always proved an excellent option - I have NEVER been disappointed with the resulting allocation of accommodation.

i feel that the company in question is not very customer orientated as when we went to mallorca they failed to tell us that the hotel was in the middle of nowhere and the apartments were falling apart i dont think the staff were particullary friendly or helpful in the resort as they hadnt been there very long and didnt seem to know what they were talkin about and getting a decent meal in the middle of nowhere is not an easy task the entertainment ...
