Advantages: Low cost deals, pleasant staff
Disadvantages: T3

I flew a number of flights with AAL last year and the overall impression was good. The exception was the chaotic T3 check-in area which was vastly overcrowded and understaffed on a busy Saturday morning. However if you pay well below the odds for a transatlantic scheduled flight you can't really complain. Disadvantages: Small toilets, terrible films and radio stations

...well I was treated by American Airlines on my flight and I cannot offer any more praise. The flight was quite a long one as it was from Glasgow International Airport to Chicago O'Hare Airport followed by a connection flight to Philadelphia so it took nearly 10hrs. The food on the flight was Average I would say, I sampled a meal on the way home which was a small slice of steak, with a cake and some potatoes although I wouldnt say it was an excellent ... American Airlines. I just call it AA because it’s easier. Well any way, American Airlines is an airline company. Like you should already know. The prices of the flights are cheap. The seats are absolutely clean and comfortable. Before takeoff you go to your seats and you get seated. I fly American Airlines from Manchester to Las Vegas via Chicago, and their customer service is excellent. Our flight from Manchester was delayed, and we landed at Chicago just 50 Minutes before our flight to Las Vegas was due to leave. The AA staff at Chicago were great, they hurried us along and we made our connection. It would've been a 3 hour wait otherwise. Advantages: Treat you like a customer rather than walking cargo.
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest but worth it.

How many airlines give you your meal on a china plate with metal cutlery and real linen napkins. I know of only one which does that in coach class! They are also not afraid to fly into airports other than Gatwick & Heathrow. I have used the Manchester to Chicago service twice and loved it. Network is extensive within USA and I have never had a problem getting to the desired destination airport by the third flight leg out of the UK. Some retrospective ... Read review

Well it goes like this. If you want cheap and unsatifactory customer service this airline is for you. But I hope that in the long run when deside to fly simular to what I did you'll change your mind. I flew from Frankfurt to Chicago, Ill. and the service absolutly sucked! I think I would have dehydrated if it wasn't for the little cup in the bathroom where I could have something to drink. I travelled by American airlines fron London Heathrow to New York city JFK because there was a special offer and the price was good. However, I was most disappointed by the level of service on the plane. The plane was old and where I sat, water was dripping from the ceiling, which the stewardess explained was just condensation and is normal for high altitude flights. Disadvantages: Not so good food

...the states every year and American Airlines has been the best so far as the leg room was great even for my taller husband, it was quite relaxing not being crunched into the back of someone elses knees. The movie screen was in the back of the headrest which was great as I have had trouble in the past with not seeing movies, the movies were great this time I got to see time machine and Monsters Inc, both good movies. This is a terrific airline. We travelled across America with this airline. It was terrific. Plenty of leg room, the food and service was excellent and nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff on board. We travelled from London to New York, from New York to Dallas, from Dallas to Tuscon in Arizona, from Tuscon back to Dallas, from Dallas to London and every flight was spot on time, staff very friendly and could not do enough for you. I have traveled with AA several times in the past 2 years and I have found the whole experience a bit variable. They pride themselves on extra leg room and they do provide this but I find that most airlines are fine when traveling sceduled. The most important this for me is the entertainment. ...this review sits under the American Airlines flag, it concerns the whole of the airline industry. However, since my experience is with AA, I feel it is only fair to stick it under them.
