American Airlines Advantage
American Airlines Advantage is AA's frequent flyer collection scheme and I have to say that it is one of the best frequent flyer schemes that I have found in recent years; the only problem being that as I live and fly mainly out of Manchester in the UK the flights from this airport are limited to flights to Boston and Chicago. How to register?

Discounted Admirals Club (American Airlines lounges; but there aren't any in the UK!!) memberships. Priority check-in, preferred seating and priority standby and waitlisting on any oneworld alliance airlines.

Advantages: has many partners to collect miles on Disadvantages: relatively few points awarded
I have gathered approximately 15,000 AA miles and I could not work out what to do with them. Typically I could have used them for travelling on British Midland for a free flight but it was just not going to be worth it.
The only reccomendation to do with these is to pool them together with other frequent flyer programmes and use with other points on just one account. To do this transfer the points to the Hilton Honours programme along with any batches ...
