Anglia are my local rail operator and although I do not travel by rail that much I do occasionally go to town and have worked in London and commuted there. Anglia have certainly improved in the last few years but the funny posters they put up claiming 95% punctuallity have got to be by the brothers grimm. The staff are more friendly but the london end still has the standard guard who does not seem to want to know and gives you a dirty look if you should dare to ask when the next train is. ...all been there. Well Anglia is a little refreshing and they are spending money in an honest effort to get better. How many companies can you currently say that for? Look for special offers they really try to get your business. I find the journey from Norwich to London quite uneventful, usually on time, and cariages are quite clean by comparison. It is over a year now since that dreadful train crash at Paddington which took a lot of innocent lives. After that great disaster, you would think that the people in charge of rail safety would learn and do something about it. In fact, the opposite has happened, as the situation appears to have been ignored and instead of improving, a further disaster occurred, where four people needlessly lost their lives.
