Although Ansett flies still as Kendell etc. Ansett has become a microscopic airline compared to the airline it used to be. Ansett became bankrupt 2 days after Sept. 11th. Although the Airline itself has deteriorated, it's committed service towards it's customers has not. The Decision I flew with Qantas from London to Sydney. ...booked our internal trips with Ansett Australia. The 1st flight was from Sydney to Cairns (about 3hrs long), checking was simple and not to long before we flew. The ground staff were polite and helpful and less fussy about cabin luggage (compared to Qantas). The plane was roomy enough and extremly clean. The aircrew were as good as the groundcrew.
