Advantages: The new style buses look great

...want a positive opinion of Arriva then you'll not find one here (or pretty much anywhere else). Disadvantages: not many buses in my area

...very negative response towards the Arriva company and personally I think that's wrong!!! Arriva is a Sunderland based company (I live in Newcastle) that operates throughout the north east. Although there are only 4 buses with the arriva sign on it per hour to 2 different destinations in my area i believe there are enough to give a satisfactory service. ...than intelligence. ~ The introduction of Arriva to the Maidstone area had to be deemed a good thing. The service realistically couldn’t be any worse than the one we had been subject to for many years from M & D, but would it actually be an improvement? The fleet of buses brought to Maidstone by the Arriva company are mostly newer vehicles. Generally clean, the interiors are cheery with spotted fabric seats and rather bright green trimmings. ... ...me exactly two hours. Arriva is the only service which goes on the route I need so I’m a captive audience. I’m now going to have a good old whinge about Arriva. Firstly, I’ve yet to come across an Arriva bus which arrived on time. It seems to be that bus timetables are there only to give you something to read on the bus stop. It’s pure fiction of course. ...ridiculing this companies name. Arriva is Italian for "it arrives". This name is so in adequate for this company. I think you will all agree that a more adequate name would be "arriva molto tardi o niente affatto" I agree it is a bit longer but much more adequate and in Italian seeing as they like Italian so much. Disadvantages: Abusive Staff, Daylight-robbery pricing, late buses

Arriva is one of the largest bus companies in the UK. Unfortuanately it is the only service available in my area, so If you are a student like me without a car, its either use them or walk. There isn't anything good to sya about them so Ill list their bad points: -Abusive Staff: All Arriva bus drivers are grumpy ( I think its in the job description). Some years ago, my local bus company was taken over by 'Arriva' - who's initial promises included - more buses, an improved timetable and in general, a better service to the public. At the same time, we were encouraged to use public transport to ease the traffic load, particularly at rush hour and for this reason (and the cost of running two cars) I decided to travel to work by bus. Advantages: Um..a nice colour.
Disadvantages: erratic timing, insane/rude drivers, rarely cleaned, tend to change route 'en route'.

Arriva buses are the bane of my life. I have to get one every day to and from uni, and although my other local bus company (First Leeds) is bad, nothing quite beats Arriva for employing rude, unpleasant people, failing to clean their buses (I've been on the same bus about 5 or 6 times this week, and there is still a splattering of ketchup across the back seat) and failing to keep to any sort of timetable. ...a long standing relationship with Arriva buses,I really need them in my life. Alas they seem to be letting me down. The advice that follows is particularly directed at car drivers. You know how they keep getting on at you to abandon you cars, and use public transport. Well don't do it. Why? It could result in untold stress and even depression. Disadvantages: Far too expensive

Arriva guarantee efficient service at equitable fares. However, they dispense a mediocre service at exorbitant prices, for which I very rarely use. I live in a petite village way out from the hustle and bustle of town. It's great for relaxing, but no good when you need a quick look in HMV or fancy a trip to the cinema. So, Arriva provide a bus into the centre of Newcastle, a meagre ten miles away. Every hour, so hardly the most frequent fliers. Anyway, ... Read review
