Even the kids' menu was impressive, just going to prove that restaurants are indeed capable of doing more than shoving endless turkey twizzlers, fish ...

As you like it Situated in Jesmond, a short car drive from the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, this is one of those places which I think you would have to know it was there; there is little chance that you would be passing, and so go in for a meal. The decor, music and ambience was excellent! However the service and food was mediocre at best - marketing itself as a Gastro Pub, selling local produce to a premium standard simply isn't true... Definately not worth the high prices and wouldn't recommend to anyone as a place to eat! ...

We did NOT like it! Over priced with no understanding of how to cook a steak despite charging £16.95! Onion rings were greasy and tasted awful as it cooked in dirty oil. We did not pay the 10% extra as 2 steaks had to be returned, mine was ordered medium and was well done also the jug of water took over 30 min's to arrive. We booked the table weeks ago but we were greeted with instructions on when it should be vacated! You can find better quality food in Newcastle for more affordable prices...take my advice and stay clear! May 2008 ...
