Advantages: Variety of things to do and something for everyone, a great night out wherever you go Disadvantages: The bar reps are very pushy, and prices can get expensive
...back from a holiday in Ayia Napa and want to give my opinion of the bars there. To start with, it's a really nice place. A small town in Cyprus, typically known for being a party lover's choice of holiday, you'd expect it to be full of English people throwing litter around, getting their boobs out and throwing up on street corners. This is completely wrong. Ayia Napa, when I went in early September, was full of a variety of people, not just youths ... ...English and Irish accents. Ayia Napa is actually a beautiful place, with gloriously blue seas, 5* hotels everywhere, loads of watersports activities, and just generally something to do for everyone. The main reason I went to Ayia Napa was to party at night though, so here I'll try and give you an idea of what the bars and clubs are like. There's an area called The Square where all these places are, and on the first night we had trouble finding it, ...

Advantages: Guaranteed sun from April to October, perfecty for clubbers Disadvantages: Too hot in July and August
Ayia Napa is now marketed as the destination for clubbers. Unfortunately this has led to a decline as a destination for those who want a more civilised holiday. If you can avoid the noise and the rubbish of the less civilised adults then Napa still has much to offer for the rest of us. WHERE TO STAY If you choose a hotel by the Liminaki Beach and harbour or a little away from the Square you can still have a great holiday. Another trick is to visit ... ...Instead head for: - Ayia Thekla - with its little church nearby (about 4km from the centre of Ayia Napa) - Macronissos - my particular favourite with two beaches, one either side of the peninsula so if it happens to be a windy day you can choose accordingly (about 1km from Nissi Beach) - Liminaki - the most centrally located beach to the centre of Ayia Napa, just along from the harbour. All of these beaches offer beautiful sand, clean water, water ...

Ayia Napa really does have something for everyone. And contrary to popular belief It certainly isn’t just a clubbers paradise. BEACHES AT AYIA NAPA
There are several good beaches in Ayia Napa but we only managed to visit 2 of these. Nissi beach has lovely blue/green sea, and you can walk out quite far without ever being more than 5 feet deep in the water. The amenities at the beach too are also very good. It is possible to hire a car for CYP£80 for 3 days or CYP£60 for 2 days via Ham Yam and for this you can get a brand new jeep (Up to 1-year-old) This was the best deal I found having checked 4 different outlets. ...married (to each other) in Ayia Napa Cyprus last year (September 2003) I jumped at the chance for a two week break away with them and 50 others to share in their big day. As someone who thought Ibiza was the clubbing capital Ayia Napa never really appealed to me, my two weeks there changed my mind completely.

...is the 'happening' resort of Ayia Napa. Full of tourists looking for nighlife. AYIA NAPA, THE PLACE FOR PEOPLE AGED 2 - 82!!
Most people's assumption is that Ayia Napa is full of clubs and that all you will hear is party noise - WRONG!
Cyprus as a whole is very family oriented and is very welcoming to tourists, particularly the English. the English tourist can be very lazy here as English is generally spoken very well by the majority of Cypriots and in particular those in the hospitality trades.
The waters are crystal clear, ... ...are readily available. Majority of Ayia Napa\'s beaches are of Blue Flag standard, and there are still a few coves known only to a handful of people to offer privacy peace and seclusion.
In Ayia Napa itself, a car is not necessary, but you could make use of one, and if you were staying for two weeks you could take trips throughout the island - takes about 2hours to drive from one end of the island to the other - at the other end you would see Aphrodite\'s ...

Advantages: Weather, people and value for money. Disadvantages: Politics
I visited Ayia Napa for a week last year and didn't want to come home, which must be a good recommendation. The people are so friendly even to tourists, speaking English and not laughing when you try to speak to them in Greek! One example of this was when we got the taxi from the airport to our appartment - the driver stopped at a shop on the way to buy us cool drinks (it was in the 90's) which was very thoughtful. There are plenty of watersports here to try and the sea is calm most of the time. It seems odd that the towns ancient monastery should be literally next door to ...

i come from Cyprus and people have said that it ain't good. But in Agia Napa you have to know where to go to have fun. Begin at the monastry in the centre and work your way out. I went to Ayia Napa this summer. It was the best holiday of my life. Recently there has been a lot of bad press about the clubber's island of paradise and the question I put to you is whether it is worth going? Ayia Napa began as a small fishing port but has now become about as big as IBIZA attracting several thousands of UK tourists every month. However from being there this summer I do not believe it to only be a place for clubbers.
Yes you can ... ...The other side to ayia napa is the endless streets of clubs and bars offering cheap priced drinks and some with free entertainment. The main musics out there are garage, R&B and house. There are also novelty bars such as the Trotter's Inn which plays constant "Only Fools and Horses" Videos and gives you the option of purchasing some of Del Boy's famous cocktails.
There is so much to do and not nearly enough time to do everything. I would recommend ...

...£380 and headed off to Ayia Napa for a couple of weeks... Ayia Napa is reguarded as 'the party capital' of Cyprus. Full of bars, clubs, sandy beaches and tourist attractions, Ayia napa is not just for the young!

I visited napa in 1999. I'll never forget it, i had the time of my life. If you enjoy raving, garage music and drinking, then this is the place for you. Every single night out was ten times better then new years eve! The night clubs are excellant and there is so much choice of different kinds of music.
