My flights have however been for the most part to Brussels though I have flown in Business to Glasgow and economy to other domestic locations (Manchester, Edinburgh etc); the latter flights were not as recent than the Brussels trips though so my comments focus primarily on these.
Short haul business class travel is now confined to very few destinations. Business have embraced the ... ...one can do if flying BMI is to check in on light in practice the system often seems not to work or refuse to record the frequent flyer number. At least business passengers rarely have to queue – there is one bank of counters just for them. BMI prefer as many passengers as possible to check in using the self service machines and try to insist anyone in economy checks in by this method; many passengers with BMI are however transferring from other Star ...

...a long haul flight on BMI to Las Vegas. I have always flown Virgin Atlantic before which I think are great and was somewhat sceptical about BMI. I dont like flying much and choose to fly usually on a 747 jumbo because they dont suffer much from turbulence and feel much more steadier. The BMI plaine was an airbus which is smaller. For our outward journey we had upgraded to Premium and it was fabulous! I had read that BMI had revamped their first class ... ...Virgin (I dont know the measurements) but I certainly didnt feel cramped up or penned in. Again the food and service was very very good and we were treated with friendliness and courtesy througout. Overall our BMI experience was excellent and I would defiinately fly with them again! ...

Advantages: service is amazing Disadvantages: not long enough to enjoy it
...between scotland and england... the bmi business class flights have been the best. Their lounges are so relaxing before you take off with free internet, tv, food and drink. It is so much more relaxing than in the normal gates.
The service on the plane could not have been faulted. The meals are brilliant for airline food ( apart from the cooked breakfast but extra fresh food is also offered).
Drinks were frequently offered with hot towels etc available ... ...3 in a row but a spare seat is left free in between the window and isle seat so that you have plenty freedom to move.
Staff couldn't do anything more for you.
For once i wished the flight could be longer! it is more expensive than normal but well worth the extra to treat yourself...or if work is paying! ...

I have found that with BMI that you have to expect delays on about 6 out of 10 time you fly with them, although this is the case with delays the staff onboard the flights are friendly and always willing to help in any way that they can.
They do however serve some good food on board.
My advice would be not to use BMI if you require to get connecting flight afterwards as there is a good chance you will miss it, but if yu are looking for excellent ...
