    I have stayed in bandung for 4 months in 2003, and 4 months in 2004. You have to take a flight to jakarta first, and go there by road. This land travel will take about 2.5 to 4 hours depending on the traffic. The things I like most about is that fine dining and hotel is very cheap, for US100 you can get excellent room overlooking bandung on hilltop (e.g. at Jalan dago). If you like shopping clothes there are a lot of boutiques and outlets. Electronics however are much cheaper elsewhere though. There are old buildings with dutch influence through out the city which may interest architecture ... more

    Bandung, not just a normal city but also the city of fun. Look at the Jakarta city is often stagnant and hot weather. This makes the Jakarta trip to bandung. It is now rising hotel rates rather than some time ago but look at what is given bandung. The food is still No. 1, of all things desirable in here.For foreigners or tourists is not a problem with the food here. I encourage you to not eat foods that taste spicy. Because local residents most loved food spicy enough. If you are familiar with the food spicy enough I suggest you to try a name rujak or lotek. Rujak is a set piece of fruit ... more

    Advantages Advantages You can reach the long distance in a shorter time

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Too many cars from Jakarta during weekends and holidays, many traffic jams

    In the past, the distance between Jakarta and Bandung was about 4 hours driving or using the train. But the situation has been changed after a highway were constructed, the so-called Cipularang highway, which connects these two cities. Now you can take only 2 hours to go to Bandung via this toll way. So, no wonder that during the weekend Bandung is being crowded by cars from Jakarta. You know what they do? They go for shopping since there are many outlets of beautique, although they can find it in Jakarta. The other reason is that they love traveling, Jakarta-Bandung for on;y 2 hours. However ... more

    Want to find new and fresh atmosphere in the city of Bandung?, Visiting Kampung Daun is the right option. Kampung leaves is a place of recreation and dining combination of slick, so the atmosphere is very romantic night and feel. Located not far from the terminal tap. The atmosphere is very beautiful atmosphere, with a step ladder and Lesehan eating place at the right and left. In some places, there are also the flow of water and waterfall.     Bandung is located in west java,indonesia.it also called paris van java.paris as the capital of fashion and java as it located in west java.if you ever been to indonesia,Bandung should be in your top of the destination list.the weather here is pretty cool compare to jakarta or other big city in Indonesia.you would see lots and lots of factory outlet,boutique,distro,cafe etc all along the city.it's a good place to chill.you can find anything from the cheapest to the fancy things here.for good indonesian food i would suggest a resto called 'bumbu desa'.for a bit of a dance night you can go to ... more

    I have been here since go to Parahyangan S1 study. Bandung is one of famous place in Indonesia, places in West Java. A lot of site that you must see in here. For shopping, you can go to Paris Van Java, and Ciwalk, wonderful place to get picture yet of course shopping. and Cibaduyut, the speciality of shoes. Actually, Bandung is well known as it's food. Various food you can find here. and cafe too! There are Kampung Daun, The view, and the other more that placed in Dago and Lembang, the city view in Bandung.     thats what the dutch said when they rule indonesia for over 350 years. the city of bandung in Indonesia in know as "kota Kembang" or in english "flower city". Bandung is the capital of west java province. you can travel to bandung from jakarta -indonesia capital- in just 3 hours by car. this city provide you with great view in the northen side in a place call lembang, the city its self had a remarkeble view, with the collonial building and new building side by side in a harmony. in bandung you can buy lot of cheap branded clothes, the store call "factory oulet" the price is the same price at ... more
