Advantages: Good transport links, lots of shops and restaurants Disadvantages: Long walks between gates
...use in a review of Barcelona airport. No, you didn't read wrong! I actually got an in direct flight after deciding to spend a couple days in Barcelona first!
For some, airports are just a thorn in their side, a mere obstacle in getting from A to B. They hate the thought of waiting around for their flight, or the queues of checking in, baggage hassles. It can be very stressful. For me however, I still get incredibly excited about the 'airport' leg ... ...overall holiday experience. Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain, situated on the south coast. It is becoming a huge tourist destination, in particular as Mediterranean cruises become more popular. I booked our flight independently with Iberia for £80 each return. We flew with BA outwards, and then caught an Iberia plane to Mallorca. It was the cheapest option and a bargain for June!
The airport itself consists of three terminals named ...

Advantages: It's not Liverpool. It has shops and restaurants and what not. Disadvantages: It's not Manchester. It only has some shops and restaurants and what not.
We flew to Barcelona ergo we landed at Barcelona airport, and it was quite nice. Not very nice, mind you. But nice enough.
** Terminals ** There are 3 terminals here, imaginatively named A, B and C. Typically speaking, terminal A is for long haul and European destinations, terminal B for EU flights and Terminal C for domestic services although there is a little overlap. We were terminal A people for our stay and while not struck down by its impressiveness, ... ...Transport Links ** Barcelona airport is a mere 8 miles from the city center making the trip into town one of the shortest post flight ones I’ve ever experienced. We took a taxi at a cost of about £13. Other alternatives are to take the train (every 30 minutes from Clot-Arago, Arc de Triomf, Placa Catalunya and Barcelona Sants stations) for about £3 or the bus from outside the Corte Ingles department store for £1.50. These both run from 6am ...

...place.
I flew to Barcelona with Easyjet last weekend (a flying visit with the primary aim of seeing a match at the Nou Camp, if you hadn’t already guessed!), and hazy memories of a chaotic time at Alicante airport many years ago combined with some vague stereotyping of the Spanish way of life to make me expect a jumbled mess of an airport. However, the terminals at Barcelona are clean, uncluttered and pretty spacious, even if queues do seem ... ...and wine, an official FC Barcelona fan shop for the football fanatic, and a good old-style duty free shop with stacks of cigarettes and alcohol!
The airport is easily accessible by road, and is linked to the city centre by the Aerobus service. This runs every 10-15 minutes from Terminal A to Plaza Catalunya, calling at the other 2 terminals and the Sants railway station, and costs €3.30 for a single fare. There is also a railway station in ...

Barcelona – capital of the Spanish province of Catalonia and one of the airports serving the popular Costa Brava as well as the bustling, historic city of Barcelona. Have flown into Barcelona roughly 5 times in the last copula of years and have had no serious problems or complaints with it.
Prat de Llobregat airport has three large, spacious terminals – A (long haul and EU destinations - most of the budget airlines fly into here), B ... ...Post check in and security, Barcelona Airport boasts a superb array of shops with prices guaranteed to match those in the city centre in Barcelona (although how you are supposed to check at this point, I’m not quite sure!). Providing you’re not flying too late (I once flew out on an 11pm flight and pretty much everything was closed) you will be treated to a fine shopping experience, selling everything you could expect to buy in any normal ...
