...occasions we stayed at the Beau Rivage. Our most recent trip was at the beginning of January 2007 and we stayed for a week.
The Beau Rivage is a family hotel. It's catered for families. It is a 5 star hotel, but it is not quite up to the very very high standard of the other luxury hotels on the island. It's a very good resort style hotel, but it lacks the cutting edge you would experience in the other 5 star deluxe hotels. However, I believe they ... ...5 star you want, the Beau Rivage is the most price efficient option. It is considerably cheaper than its rivals. Look out for very good deals, usually available all year round such as buy a week, get a week free. However, do make sure you book a half board meal plan- drinks and meals are very very expensive.

Advantages: Beautiful beach, excellent service, friendly, great in every way Disadvantages: weather not extremely hot in our summer, but it is still nice
This pricy but luxury hotel was brilliant. the beach had lovely sand and you could walk along either way, walking dsitance from shops. Food fabulous, buffets, menu nights, choice of resturants.
Watersports- waterskiing, wind surfing, kayaking, pedaloes, much more. Great fun
The pool is massive, it has a large paddling area the a centre infinity style pool which is deeper.
Lots of kids when we went (our summer). Activities organised for them if ... ...entertainment great. TV in room with loads of channels.
Bathroom amazingly big with massive shower and a bath and a seperate toilet, twin sinks! Books from the 'reading corner' availiable to borrow for free!
Great value and i had the time of my life there!

Advantages: Beautiful hotel resort, friendly staff Disadvantages: Bit pricey but worth the money
We went to this hotel for a 2 week break in 2004. At the time my son was only 3 months old and my daughter was 6 years old. When we got there we felt like we had died and gone to heaven. The reception we got was out of this world and the hotel staff just couldn't do enough for us. The room was perfect, and we had interconnecting rooms, with the childrens bedroom having that extra special touch just for them. The pool area was exellent and the staff ... ...giving you a pile and sending you on your way. They even come round on hot days and spray your face with evian water and clean your sunglasses for you. The swimming pool gently slopes so it's safe for the children, and the beach is perfect. There is no strong current in the ocean due to the coral reef, and the water sports are fantastic.
