Both myself and my fiance love the lake district and have stayed at many hotels with many different star ratings. Last year we got engaged whilst staying at this hotel which was fantastic but was also marred by small but continous problems. On our first night at the hotel, we were tired and decided to order room service rather than go to the restaurant. We ordered soup and sandwiches. We expected some sort of reparation for this like free drinks or for this to be deducted from the bill, we received nothing, not even a sorry.
