Advantages: Lovely location, excellent food and staff. Rooms were great. Disadvantages: A bit remote, Noisy shredder in the toilet.
My partner and I visited the hotel as a last weekend break for us without the children as I was 7 months pregnant at the time.
The hotel is situated in a fairly remote area i.e. not a town / villiage centre so driving would be a definate advantage.
We were able to visit most of the lakes from this location and spent most of our time driving to the surrounding coastal towns, villiages and lakes.
The staff were excellent and could not have done ... ...one night and the weather was not brilliant so it got quite cold in the night. One member of staff arranged for us to have a small heater and a blanket, which did the trick. They also took a phone delivery for me with no problems.
The food was really lovely and there was an excellent choice for breakfast. Breakfast was served at a reasonable time in the morning (between 8 and 10) and there was a good selection of cereal, fruit and excellent cooked ...
